Dec 30, 2020 Idk man I feel like he retreated to a comfort zone he didn't know how to inhabit anymore. Cuz they're not even good songs to me. Not every album needs to be ground-breaking to be good—for example Future's album this year doesn't really do anything new, but there are still songs on there I liked. That's not the case with cudi's album for me.
Dec 30, 2020 True, for an artist as artistic as cudi, I expected more of an imagination. As for future, I think the future x uzi tape is aging well so far tbh.

Dec 30, 2020 I learned to temper my expectations for collab tapes after Super Slimey. Just like Pluto x Baby Pluto it's a fun album but I was expecting something astronomical. Killed Before is perhaps my favorite Thug song though, and Patek Watek is undeniable.
Dec 30, 2020 Look man I'm just saying that Dua Lipa deserves to be on everybody's Best Albums of 2020 list (especially a TOP 50!) If they want to be edgy and say that these are the best, more power to them. I just won't be clicking next year now that I know what to expect.
Dec 30, 2020 my point is not that you’re wildly out of line for thinking [dua/any other album] is better than one or more of the albums here. my point is that it’s an insane and frankly anti-art opinion to be like “the only things eligible to be considered the best also have to be the most popular. none of the albums on there are demos ripped from soundcloud, although if a specific group of critics came together and decided such a release was deserving, that would be their job as critics
