Not to mention Drake's albums(the last few) don't leak. MMLP and TES leaked more than a month before the release and still did those insane numbers with physical copies.
Anyways, this thread got boring quick. The weirdo d-ck riding wigger who tries to look like Drake has ducked me since I punked him on like page 8 and now we have some stupid b---- born in like 96 who's obviously been hit in the head with a d-ck too many times trying to tell us how popular Drake is and Eminem was.

thats again, a terrible way of looking at this
spotify didnt exist when Elvis was alive, which makes this impossible...but moving units did exist
they added streams in order to help artists sell as much as they did back then, but drake still wont be able to even come close
this is what your dealing with lady
(mmlp2 isnt updated its been like that since 2013) but you get the point, even recovery which is considered recent, sold 15 millions copy
just let it go, you cant compare Eminem to DrakeBART, Guma, dkdnfbdjdkdddjdjfvcgfl and 2 others like this. -

So Eminem sold for 35% (66,150) of a song that wasn't even his...
Compared to Drake 119,000 of his most popular song ever
Again, todays Eminem did this, not prime -

Eminem dominated both hip hop and rock radio stations in his prime. And I'm talking his entire albums, not just the singles, when they dropped. It was a huge f---ing event every time he dropped.
Every day there was something new about him. I've never seen a phenomenon like Eminem, EVER.
I see you guys talking about social media platforms, but Eminem dominated radio stations (rock and rap), BET, MTV (TRL, Jams), news outlets, concerts (rock and rap again), any parties you went to, etc. It was like the equivalent of him being on facebook, twitter, snap chat and ig, and flooding it all the time, and being #1 all the time.
He over-saturated the entire entertainment industry, and it went even FURTHER when he starred in 8 Mile.
I think the last 13 years really f----- up people's perception of how loved/popular this dude was.
I saw someone mention 50 Cent as being popular like Eminem. Ummm, who signed 50 again? I forget.
Obie Trice went f---ing double platinum, mostly because everyone wanted to hear Eminem.
And f---, I hate arguing for this recluse hermit, but there's no way I can discredit what he achieved. -

Wow I just spent 6 paragraphs explaining what you said in a few words. I always over do it. I haven't seen a rapper explode the way eminem did. In hindsight, it's insane to remember a rapper blew up the way eminem did.Last edited: Mar 23, 2017 -

You can make a fair comparison with his next project, where I believe it'll be the first time for Eminem where streams/plays count towards his salesasvdawg, BrenoB, PistolPistol and 2 others like this. -

Can't believe I'm wasting my time with this...but you're blaming Em for not being big on things that didn't exist at the time? Really, that's your argument?
Like I'm not even a big Em fan, honestly I wouldn't even call myself an Em fan anymore, I've liked 1 or 2 songs of his since 8 mile that's about it..but you're really underestimating how huge he was in his prime..Like not just on music channels and radio stations but ALL over. He wasn't kidding when he talked about 'picket signs outside the interscope offices' and people trying to ban him, protesting, being covered on news channels etc etc.
I'm sorry but it's just not close, no matter how you look at it. It's not even Drake's fault, it's partly just the era and also partly cuz Em was white, that gave him a bit of an advantage as well. -
