I believe the argument was who was bigger... Em really took off after Forgot About Dre. And Drake has never had an album that had the impact of MMLP or Eminem Show or a single the way Lose Yourself did.

Em didn't come out the gates with the kind of buzz today's artists have because artists didn't have the ability to build their own buzz the way they do now. So I don't think Interscope was worried about Em not debuting at #1. In fact, they were probably more than happy with a #2 debut.
