    I'm not going to front today (like a lot of people on social media) and act like I was a Prince fan because I really wasn't. Growing up, I thought Prince was some strange alternative s--- for adults (I was a Michael Jackson fan though). But as I got older and seeing my father and his brother's admiration for Prince's work, I began to at least respect him as an icon. My father was always talking about Purple Rain and I remember my uncle had the Controversy album on vinyl since it dropped. But my knowledge of his work is limited nonetheless. So i'll just end it with Rest In Power to Prince, he had a tremendous impact on my father's generation, as well as Hip Hop and as well as every generation after.

    Not the biggest fan by any means, but I attempted to get into Prince a year or two back, and while I liked some of his stuff, not all of it was for me. But Sign o the Times (listening now) grabbed me right away. It's a 10/10 song. Prince was an icon, but even more than that a musical genius. We're losing so many GOATS. RIP

    he taught himself how to play A LOT of instruments. i don't know the exact number, but he knew how to play many different instruments and play them well. he played many of them through his first 4 albums.

    i got into prince after i heard his purple rain album. i was so impressed with it--that it inspired me to check out more of his albums like 1999, dirty mind, batman, controversy and that's how i found out how incredible he was.

    during his concert last year in baltimore, he kept saying "no curfew" as if to say the concert was going to last all night long haha. he performed very well live.

    an incredible talent lost, 2016 f---ing blows. prince was his own person and musician, both something he knew no boundaries in. this really sucks.

    not only a musical genius, but he always seemed like a genuinely nice guy as well...we truly didn't deserve him. rip the artist
