This isn't a point lol. Rivers and Romo outplayed McNabb from 06-09. Even if you want to look at head-to-head records (which you know I'm not a fan of) Romo has a winning record vs McNabb in that time span, one of which was a playoff win over him in 09. I'm not sure about Rivers though. Statistics or w/l records, neither support your argument.

Those numbers have been heavily inflated by OBJ.

I'll take the NFC championship, something Romo has not and will not ever play in, from Mcnabb in 08 over anything Romo has done

Edit: any rivers for that matter.

McNabb threw just 23 TD's in the 08 regular season. Eagles defense allowed just 18.2 points per game that season, that was good for 4th best in the league that year. That's why you guys were so successful. If you had Rivers at QB with that team, you guys probably win the super bowl.

Idk Rivers couldn't even win with all those great teams he had.

I can say a lot of bad things about Mcnabb but he knew how to win playoff games. I think that's a stat that really can't be accounted for and I'd take that over passing stats every time

eli has had his ups and downs throughout his career. and every now and then the way he plays makes you question whether he should be a starting QB

but he has been a good QB

and to suggest that he hasn't played well in recent years is crazy talk

You're crediting all that success to McNabb though which isn't accurate. Those Eagles teams in the early 2000's had dominate defenses as well a solid running game w Westbrook. It's honestly a tragedy that you guys didn't win at least one super bowl given those teams you had. McNabb had all the pieces in place and came short. You could argue the same thing about Rivers but I don't think Rivers ever had a defense as good as those early 2000's Eagles defenses were.

That being said, Rivers is one of my personal favorite QBs/players and even I can admit that he has had Super Bowl teams and Super Bowl years for himself and managed to have very little success given the fact

Ehhhh.... Rivers is really really really fucken good at his best. Rivers I think is a bit better of a passer but Romo is a better playmaker by a pretty substantial margin. Romo can make things happen from nothing while Rivers needs at least some type of base to perform.

Even Eli at his best I think is comparable to Romo/Rivers. It's just hard to compare because we haven't seen Eli "at his best" very often.

    accurate description

like I said I love Phillip Rivers, always have

He's a great passer but he just comes up a little short and I think that has been the difference maker in his career...not a playmaker, not one of the smartest QBs, doesn't have one of the best arms, isn't one of the most agile, isn't one of the most clutch

    he's just good at everything
