really wanted to fly out to angle's induction when it inevitably happened, but i doubt i'll be able to go this year. f---. i wanted to see his last match live too but if he's going in the hall that's pretty much a wrap on his wwe career.

Kinda surprising, thought he'd at least have 1 more match at some point in WWE, maybe even 1 last run before he got inducted.

there's still time for him to be in the rumble this year and have a run up to mania, maybe have some kind of passing of the torch match after getting inducted. didnt either michaels or flair do that? have a retirement match the night after being inducted

Yeah but I have a feeling if he was gonna show up at the rumble, they wouldn't have announced this already so his appearance would have been a surprise. Then again maybe they had to announce it already to sell tickets or something, I don't know..but still I really doubt he's in the rumble now, it'd be awesome if he was though.

idk they've been spoiling surprises left and right lately. i remember when RVD returned they didn't let that be a surprise, they just said "NEXT WEEK RVD IS COMING BACK" so it didnt really build up either. same thing when batista came back to the rumble the year he won it, that wasn't a surprise. goldberg coming back and showing up on raw, etc. it's all announced ahead of time. i could definitely see them airing a vignette about the hall of fame then having him appear in the rumble.
maybe i'm just being hopeful though.

Angle makes it sound like they haven't even discussed wrestling and it hasn't crossed his mind.

And whether I wrestle or not after this — which is irrelevant right now — I’m just really proud to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I gave a lot of energy and time to WWE those first seven years, and I’m grateful that they recognized it.

but to be fair for the last 2 months he said he wasn't taking indie bookings from february to april i believe, and he said he wasn't taking those dates because he was going to be coming back to wwe

who knows maybe it is just a hof thing but id like to be pleasently surprised and see a goodbye run

Is it an actual rule that members of the HoF can't wrestle?

I mean Sting announced his retirement during his speech so it seemed like there were plans for him to have another match post HoF induction, right?

Anyway even if he doesn't wrestle I'd still be stoked as f--- to have Kurt on tv as a GM. Foley will be out for a while for his hip surgery and Bryan after his baby is born so there will definitely be open spots for him to be on tv in a nonwresting role.

Kurt was so entertaining in his day...the dude had it all it sucks so much he wasted so many years wrestling in front of 500 people in TNA

Angle in a GM role sounds like a great idea to me, I used to love Foley but he's been god awful in his current role, gotta get someone else asap.

Angle has charisma, fans love him and he's great on the mic. It'd also be easy to set up a feud from that point if he decided he was gonna wrestle again.

I could see Angle in a GM role, maybe not as a permanent thing but leading up to a match with whoever they're trying to make the next big face (pls not Reigns) or heel, depending on if Angle is face or heel.

Omg if Angle came back for 1 match and all they did was try to put over Reigns I might have to legit give up on WWE.

Luckily Angle will have some input on the match if it happens im sure, already heard him mention AJ Styles, what a f---in classic that would be.

I remember seeing Angle/AJ while sitting second row (even though I paid for bleacher seats) at a TNA house show. Great match. Met Angle afterwards, badass dude
