Just numbers at the moment that don't really mean anything to the average console gamer. Let's see what games there are first.

Based on recent successes I'd still pick up a PS5 but will prob wait until the first price drop. Unless there are 2 or 3 games at launch I can't do without. Doubt that though.

PS5 is my first choice, but I’ll probably buy both at some point. Game pass is nice, but PS5 exclusives will be better

bs. Microsoft bought a lot of studios during this generation to prepare for the upcoming one so they probably will have pretty competitive catalogue of games.
All of these are f---in' walking simulators minus Spider-Man, but Spider-Man is pretty mediocre game with a s-----y plot. The only saving grace of this game is combat and a little bit of traversal and I'm saying all of this as a PS4 owner, who bought it for these exclusives.

Yeah, mS bought a lot of studios so not only will they have a slew of exclusives next gen, but a whole lot of brand new IPs too.

Death Stranding has been criticized for being a walking stimulators, but what makes that the case for all the rest of the games that @Pyrex mentioned?

They have very little interactivity and they are pretty bland most of the time. Nothing special. They certainly are not a system seller for me. Horizon Zero Dawn is the only one that stands out and Spider-Man as I mentioned to some extent. I hope they really improve Spider-Man with its sequel.

I hear what you’re saying, and it’s a valid criticism for many of the games mentioned, but I would argue that Horizon Zero Dawn is more than just a walking simulator.

edit: my bad I should have refreshed the page. I didn’t realize you corrected yourself with your follow up post. Yea I agree, HZD is a stand out. I really loved that game, although I found it too easy.

Yeah, I hope a lot of these exclusive games will be more fleshed out (I'm counting on Microsoft studios) and not just graphics showcases like a lot of Playstation exclusives this gen.

Price would be too high. You can change it by yourself though. Also games will need less storage this time.

How will they need less storage? the new COD was over 120 GB. I can technically change it on the PS4 myself also, but why the f--- would anyone make a system in this day of age where most people rather download it straight from the server instead of going to the store, with such a small HD.

SSDs being a new baseline means that games will be designed to take full advantage of many upsides of them. That means that tricks such as replicating some data across the install to allow faster access to it for HDDs (moving head) will be gone, because there will be no need for it.

I dunno man god of war, bloodborne and infamous being the less popular are all known to be pretty action packed games. I've played uncharted extensively and I guess you could say there's little activity compared to other games but saying very little interactivity is a stretch. detroit and until dawn as video games perhaps don't have much interactivity, i'll give you that, since they're different than usual video games, even story driven. other than that, I can't say I agree. maybe it's just your personal preference.

Are you playing Nioh 2? I started it the other day now that I have so much free time due to the virus shutting down businesses and parks and s---. It’s almost identical to the first game, at least that’s been my experience so far, but I’ve only completed maybe 5 missions (2 main and 3 sub missions).

I can’t wait for Ghosts of Tsushima. I am fascinated by feudal Japan. I really enjoyed the first Nioh and am having a similar experience with the sequel. And I absolutely loved Sekiro. Sekiro is one of my favorite games of this generation. I have high hopes for Ghosts of Tsushima.
