Mar 22, 2020 TLOU is just too bland for me. TLOU2 looks great though, but I need to see it in action after it comes out. I prefered God of War 3 over the new one.
Mar 22, 2020 I strongly recommend getting it... I was wary at first too due to negative feedback, but since they fixed all the bugs, reviews have changed so I decided to buy it. Honestly it's a dope a--- game especially if you're into those types of games. I haven't experienced 1 bug as of yet and I'm about half way through. Peep some of the more recent reviews on YouTube, my man.
Mar 22, 2020 Missed this post—I don't think it's very fair to say "without the story this game would be shallow"....well yeah. That's removing a vital portion of the game. Is the gameplay revolutionary? No, but I thought it was extremely fun with an engrossing story. I've seen people criticize TLOU gameplay before, but I have no idea how you'd call God of War a walking simulator. I thought it was very well balanced with combat, puzzles, platforming, etc—in addition to having a great story.
Mar 22, 2020 I'm a playstation fanboy and The Last of Us s----d. It was great for a first run through to find out the story, but it was so repetitive and boring. I beat it and never played it again. As a huge baseball fan playstation has me locked
Mar 23, 2020 Back in the day, i started with nintendo through my cousins. The PS1 was my first own stationary console. I got the PS2 and then i switched to Xbox360 for a couple of time. Probably have the most games for the 360. But then, i was so hyped for The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls that i bought a used PS3. After that, i was back on the PS train and never thought about buying an Xbox ever again. No hating or something but as @Pyrex said, Sony has, had and will always have the better exclusives for me. Beside this, nintendo will ever be the best for me alone because of the first two generations of pokemon and because of the legend of zelda.
Mar 23, 2020 Yup, exactly my thoughts. Games need to be more than just movies with a little bit of interactivity.
Mar 23, 2020 It depends on what the game is trying to be. Like I played What Remains of Edith Finch cuz it was free on PSN and that’s basically an interactive story and I thought it was great, and it’s not trying to be anything more than that. I understand if that type of thing isn’t your jam (I def have to be in the right mood for it) but like with any medium I don’t think it’s fair to criticize something for not being X when it’s not trying to be X in the first place. I think calling TLOU an interactive movie is pretty reductive. I understand if you don’t enjoy the gameplay even though I did, but it involves so much combat/stealth/crafting/puzzles/etc.
Mar 23, 2020 I just expect more from AAA games. Also it just doesn't live up to its hype and praise. That's all.
Mar 24, 2020 On another note did you play resident evil 7? Def one of my favs of this gen, really course-corrected after 6.
Mar 24, 2020 Yeah, I played it with my friends one night when it came out. I almost shat my pants right at this moment of the game: , when she came through the wall. I was expecting something coming down the stairs not breaking through the wall lol. My friend has seen playthrough of it before we made the plans to play it together and set me up knowing that this scene was coming up.
Apr 4, 2020 if you're into stealth, then yes. it's not really the type of shooter you can go in guns blazing.
Apr 7, 2020 Looking at the other photos Sony posted, it looks like the new controller is gonna use USB-C. This is big news for me. No clue if Sony already made that announcement or not but if that’s true, I’m so glad they’re moving away from the micro usb bs. I hate having different chargers for different devices. Now my switch and pro controller, PS5 controller, and both of my laptops will all use usb c. Hopefully Apple gets on board with usb c as the standard charging port for their phones. Here’s the official announcement for anyone curious. They don’t reveal too much about its specs. I’m guessing not much has really changed underneath the hood. Hopefully the battery lasts much longer than the PS4 controller. https://blog.us.playstation.com/202...w-wireless-game-controller-for-playstation-5/
Apr 8, 2020 Yeah it's definitely going to be usb-c. Sony usually just keeps up with the times in terms of what kind of usb charger to have for their controllers. Dualshock 3 which launched in 2006 used mini usb, Dualshock 4 launched in 2013 using micro-usb but if you think about it, micro-usb was still the most used usb type back then and now it's type c, so it makes sense Sony would use that for their next gen controller
