    ok so far I got
    Dreganomics - Mac Dre
Conversation with a Devil - Andre Nickatina
    In A Major Way - E-40
Season of da Siccness - Brotha Lynch Hung

for anyone else interested i did some digging around online. Apparently these are some other essentials

Young Black Man - Mac Dre
The Jack Artist - The Jacka
    Copium - Keak da Sneak
Live N Direct - San Quinn
Life Is... Too Short (not 100% sure if this classifies as bay area though)
    187 He Wrote - Spice-1

I’m late to this but honestly, everyone here did a nice job of compiling artists & songs. Mac Dre will forever be my favorite Bay Area hip-hop artist. He had a relatively short career before he died (9 years) but put out a ton of quality revolutionary music during that time that really spawned an entire movement/sound. There’s also Andre Nickatina, E-40, Too Short, Messy Marv, San Quinn etc. It is hard to manuever your way through these artist’s discography I will admit because they have put out a lot of music & some of them do clutter a lot of their projects with filler but the gems you find along the way are well worth it. Tbh I feel like “best of ___” compilation projects are probably your best bet @Sav Stanfield. Imma try to post some songs from some lesser known Bay Area hip-hop artist in a bit.

@WPG already mentioned the Jacka (props for that, he tends to be left out) but these are some lesser known Bay Area hip-hop artists. Going back & listening to these songs brings back so many childhood memories.

Depends who you ask. Most people today don’t consider Sac the bay buttt back in the day they did.

Its a culture thing more than anything. During the 80s/90s a lot of dudes from LA would get locked up & transfered up to Sac so when they got out, they stuck around. That’s why their music has more of an LA sound & there’s bloods/crips in Sac where as if you go any where else in the bay, they don’t really.
