Dec 24, 2015 im with you on III. I was rewatching it the other day and forgot about how much I loved that movie.
Dec 24, 2015 its criminally underrated bro. It has some cringeworthy dialogue here and there but in some aspects its so much better than the movies from the OT. This Is probably one of the most emotional and powerful scenes In the whole saga. It shows the turning point In the fall of Anakin and the Rise of Vader, It was that moment of silence that he choose to side with Palpatine to save Padme. It shows that you don't need dialogue to make a powerful scene. It also shows me that Hayden Christensen was the perfect choice for Anakin Skywalker. I agree that he was not that good (nobody was lol) in Ep II, which was not his fault, (thanks to mr lucas ), but in Ep III he absolutely nailed his role.
Dec 24, 2015 yes i feel like Mcgregor stole the show in episode III though. That last fight between the 2 defined my childhood. And Grievous was a perfect new villian. wish they capitilized on him more but its whatever. I just really love that movie. And John Williams score in III was GOAT
Dec 24, 2015 Agree, McGregor was the only Actor from I-III who could still shine in the shadows of Lucas awful writing. He really killed it in every movie. I love the OST for III man, so many great tunes. Thats btw is one thing i really dont like in VII, the music is really a let down compared to prevoius movies. Almost nothing new, just recycling old material from the prequels and the OT.
Dec 24, 2015 The music was my biggest problem with the new one as well. most of the new material except the beginning and last scenes didnt even really seem like starwars music in VII.
Dec 25, 2015 Stop trying to be cool, and use regular numbers, guys. The Empire Strikes Back A New Hope The Force Awakens Return of the Jedi Revenge of the Sith Phantom Menace Attack of the Clones
Dec 25, 2015 Agreed about McGregor. Literally one of the few bright spots, to me, in the prequels. Loved his performance. I disagree about Grievous though. I thought he was lame. I did like Dooku and Maul though. I thought they should've been in all 3 episodes. Such a shame they didn't expand on those characters. Dooku, especially. I though Palpatine was great too.
Dec 25, 2015 i kinda thought dooku was rushed but then again so was greivous. When i was a kid though i thought that he was cool af lol. I never did understand why they didnt go deeper into Maul though. He was literally only one of the very few bright spots in Episode I. But yes Ewan will always be Obi Wan in my mind haha
