Feb 8, 2017 It's sort of like the "Producer Chat Thread" but the opposite because it's for the people who sing or rap with their voice. I'll start. What can be done to improve my delivery and enunciation? I've been working hard to come up with more original rhymes but I find myself wasting takes because my enunciation isn't good enough and my delivery is thin, flimsy and corny. @CreativeSXN any ideas for me? I really love to create albums. If this doesn't work out I'll have to figure out how to make it as a producer which is hard since I don't know how to create individual tracks not confined to an album. I do but it's hard to apply since you know...
Feb 8, 2017 try recording in multiple takes. Say like you record 4 bars then stop. and then another 4.. and so on..
Feb 9, 2017 honestly man, the best exercise for delivery imo is just rapping along to popular songs, and tryna match cadence and tone and if that doesn't help, there's always autotune/vocoders or you could slow down and layer vocals
Feb 9, 2017 @tpk the problem with a lot of your stuff i think is the delivery, before we can even get to the lyrics it's rly hard to understand you sometimes and sometimes you kinda just travel off beat and it sounds like you jumble up. i'd say slow it down and don't be afraid to cut up the verses and punch in to fit everything in without having to stop and play catch up later cause it throws off a lot of your rhyming and makes u really hard to understand a lot of times
Feb 13, 2017 I know some people who like to record it all in just one take and don't believe in punching in so I guess not
Feb 14, 2017 So if I were to record 4 bars each in a 16 bar verse, how would I mix it together to make it sound consistent? That's my main concern, I don't know how Eazy-E did it for "Boyz N' the Hood"...
