Well would you look at that, 3 different Kanye lists that are essentially stellar. Admittedly I should have included Through The Wire on my continuation of your list.

Too difficult for me to narrow down a favorite Kanye song list, sentimental value notwithstanding. Usually I'm lazy and just tell everyone to run through his discography haha.

edit: Don't want to derail this thread so i'll propose another starter kit to make up for it:

    Jay-Z
    Dead President II
    Regrets
    Where I'm From
    You Must Love Me
    Big Pimpin
    Dynasty Intro
    Takeover
    Heart Of The City
    Public Service Announcement
    Blue Magic

I added the DMX list cause it's an artist I'm fairly comfortable making a list for. I don't see anything wrong with a random person making a list, as long as it's good. Although I would like to see other members suggestions and opinions on an artist list before they're made official.

really don't wanna rain on the parade here, but i think the best way to get into artists is to do it with full albums. taking things out of context, even if they're good songs, is not really how you get a sense of who someone is. it makes sense to do this for producers, though.

I agree on this but I've had some limited success with this method irl. Not so much is it the fault of the music thats presented but simply people have short attention spans and just want to have individual tracks for playlists.
