Jun 4, 2017 Eminem nowadays is like a worse version of Dizaster (who I think is unbelievably corny). Eminem doesn't have the same wit he used to, and his punchlines/wordplays are really average or bad lol. Eminem in his prime though? He was creative, had wit and was actually funny. I still think rappers like Jay Z, Sticky Fingaz, Big L, and Redman could go toe to toe with him in his prime though, and most likely beat him. Modern Eminem? Would get destroyed on the battle scene. He wouldn't make it out of most local circuits, let alone the big leagues.
Jun 4, 2017 sticky is the only one i see putting up a fight back then, and im talking about EM vs any record label rapper, not the battle guys. i disagree with you, but i understand why ppl have this current opinion tho
Jun 4, 2017 Redman would definitely put up a fight vs Prime Eminem. I'd even put Camron in the 90's in that mix. I think Big L/Sticky would've taken Em's head off, to be honest lol. As far as the record label thing, I just don't think Eminem has it in him to compete even in diss records these days. It's not only having quotables/great insults, but having a great song too. Like you said, he'd do better with acapella verses vs. industry artists, but that's not what wins battles these days. That's why I compared him with battle rappers, because they're the ones doing the acapella verses now.
Jun 4, 2017 OH i thought you meant like put them on stage, acapella and just battle, like Budden vs hollow. tbh the only diss records i think EM has made that were crazy were the warning and the sauce. hes never really had to go toe to toe with a respectable MC
Jun 9, 2017 Just the thought of it is nauseating...it would be horrible ...Glad it would never happen
Jun 10, 2017 LOL Xzibits already dissed paul on the napalm album cause paul said it wasn't working game is good at just straight exposing and dissing kendricdk and connor have the wordplay
