Where's even a groundbreaking vocal performance? There is none. Smooth braggadocio and one liners. Different flows, big whoop - nobody is getting chills from Jay-Z verses. Sing for the Moment any verse > Jay's discog. Laughable.

May 31, 2017 Do you listen to music or do you just skim through it? IDK why people are saying Eminem bodied Jay. It was pretty close. Jay probably had the more meaningful verses, with way wittier lines. Also, you talk about talent... Jay Z doesn't write his lyrics at all. He goes into the booth, listens to the beat for a limited time, rehearses his lines in his head and spits his lyrics. Fun fact, they used to play games in the studio with him to try and distract him. They call him "One Take Hov" for a reason. You talk about Stan, but Meet the Parents is a much better concept/story than Stan lol. Jay Z has been doing this since 1996 (earlier if we're not counting albums) and has not only been incredibly consistent, but has evolved with the times. Eminem had a great prime run, but has been wildly inconsistent, and has had issues since 2004 to move with the times. However, if we're talking about primes? I think it'd be a good battle, but I'd probably take Jay Z. He's been battle tested far more than Eminem. By the way Blueprint 2 (the song) > Ether, and Nas is my favorite ever. It's probably my favorite diss song ever. Jay was f---ing ruthless on it.
May 31, 2017 Definitely the best Em diss. Very dope flow and vibe on this too. This is like a cooler Ether. As has been said by many - many times - about Ether... the disses and the lyrics are pretty weak. It's the overall vibe of the song which is dope, but just listening to the disses here compared to Ether - so much better. Adult dissing.
