Aug 12, 2016 Based upon 15 ratings, SXN80 gives Days Before Rodeo a 7.5. @RateThisAlbum ok officially time to rereank this shizz cuz DB4R just scored higher than it: [8/11/16] RERATE: Rich g--- - Tha Tour, Part 1 [2014] http://www.xxlmag.com/files/2014/09/rich-g----birdman.jpg
Aug 12, 2016 Honestly? 9.8. It might be the best album since Supreme Clientele, or at least since The Blueprint. It's eighty minutes and it feels too short. Thug is the best rapper on the planet the whole time through and Quan is one of its top three writers. There are probably a dozen songs on here that could reasonably be argued as the song of the year in 2014. This is an absolute masterpiece that I can't see being topped for a long time.
Aug 12, 2016 I think it's interesting to see how much more this album has become appreciated with time/since Thug's string of solo releases, at least from what I've noticed. When I first heard it I only liked a handful of songs on it, and it grew from there. I can listen to it two years later and become more amazed at how fantastic it is every time. Quan is underappreciated by a lot of people on here as well.
Aug 12, 2016 5/10 It's like half above-average Trap Rap, half promotional commercial for Birdman/RG products. I like the beats though, but that's pretty much it. I also like Young Thug, but not on this. And Birdman sucks, this n----- recycles all his verses...
Aug 12, 2016 9.4356 Ok going straight into it fellas this is a masterpiece like it makes me want to re buy my XBOX 360 and play some MW2. It’s that good. impressive lyricals, unpeccable rhyme schemes what more can u ask for.
Aug 12, 2016 I like this idea, I actually found my old post and I didn't have a constructive grasp on it a year ago. Thug & Quan delivered some of the most creative and snake-charming flows I've ever listened to and they essentially might have been rapping in a alien language throughout the tape. It's lengthy but there's more than enough range and energy to keep your head glued to your speakers. This is an easy 9.1
Aug 12, 2016 9,2 -This is a 20 tracks tape and there is not a single filler. -Thugger and Quan were both at their best and it amaze me how liberated from any cliché their flows sounds. -This is the project that introduce me to Young Thug, who is the best rapper on the planet since then. -Givenchy is the best intro of all time But I can't rate it higher because Birdman sucks
Aug 12, 2016 9.5 out of 10 One of my favorite albums ever, and it was the best first listen I ever experienced.
Aug 12, 2016 like an 8/10 has some of thuggers best vocal performances, and some of quan & birdmans best material as well. Thugger & Quan has amazing synergy and couldnt complement eachother better. It has higher peaks than most of thuggers other projects but its just too long and inconsistent. The stretch from Givency to Imma ride is amazing bar a couple filler tracks, but after that the project just gets too repetitive.
Aug 12, 2016 i love quan and his unique vocal technique, but hes just too focused on making hit singles to come with consistent projects. i dont think hes gonna top Tha Tour, now that all the Pt 2 tracks were spread out over different solo tapes. he had the best track on the tape w war ready tho
Aug 12, 2016 For sure, I realize it's unclear with how I worded it but I meant people underrate his contributions on Tha Tour specifically. I honestly haven't listened to much solo Quan, I've tried a couple solo tapes but they didn't hook me right away. Do you have any you'd recommend? Also have you heard the unofficial Pt. 2 compilation? Closest we'll ever get to a sequel sadly.
Aug 12, 2016 but birdmans verses were great idk what u on havent listened it yet but my boo told me the only project worth checking out is I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In
Aug 12, 2016 Yeah, it took me a second to appreciate this as much as it deserves to be appreciated. When I started really getting into thugs discog, I'd come back to this occasionally and was more impressed with more songs each time. I actually wrote down the musical notation to givenchy when I got obsessed with it months ago. This is when I really realized it's legit one of the most impressive rap songs I've ever heard. Thugs range and change of pace is crazy, but the vocal dynamics are insane. Never heard any other rapper rap like this. Anything with an intro like this is already a 9/10 project. *calms down* But yea this was one of those projects I had a different favorite song to every other week. 9.75/10
