Jul 19, 2017 To come out with an album that sounds totally different was kind of a risk. To be honest, when Recovery first came out i was kind of disappointed. I wanted something that sounded like his older stuff, but after giving it a good listen i started to really like it. IMO Recovery doesn't compare to MMLP2 or any of the s--- that came after that. Recovery had a purpose. He had a point to prove and s--- to talk about. There was this kind of motivation behind it, whereas MMLP2 had no purpose and just felt like another album he had to put out. Not even going to mention the s--- projects that came out since then.
Jul 19, 2017 Anyway, Recovery is easily his best post hiatus album. I wouldn't consider it to be "Great" because that's what his first few albums were. But it was a good album. Oh and sorry for the triple post.
Jul 19, 2017 Agreed...Basically MMLP2 had purpose to Marshall only(revisit)... in Bad Guy he says the album was... a sequel to my Mathers LP Just to try to get people to buy How's this for publicity stunt? This should be fun Last album now 'cause after this you'll be officially done Eminem killed by Eminem Matthew Mitchell, b----, I even have your initials And then we got Guts over fear...and now its "just a bunch of playful songs that I make for fun So to the break of dawn here I go recycling the same, old song..." Now I hear he's "working on an album.." Lets see what happens with the premise to the next album. It may be his last if he has the guts to hang up the mic or will he prove that he can top all of his last projects including Recovery...and we wait...
Jul 19, 2017 The first time i heard this song when the the album came out I was like d---! Definitely one of my favorites from Recovery.. Funny cause i just listened to that song today for the first time in maybe years. Still gets me pumped. Seriously, he just f---in killed it. The gradual build up, the flow and everything
Jul 20, 2017 fine line medicine man all i think about guts over fear dve vegas knd all are ok or better
Jul 20, 2017 I disagree. MMLP2 gets way too much hate here. There worst thing about that album is the title. Recovery was better but MMLP2 isn't a bad album. ShadyXV and Southpaw however...
Jul 20, 2017 well I was talkin' more about you being so uptight in Emsxn like I can say you either ignorant or have a s-----y taste if you say that Medicine Man or Kings Never Die are not AT LEAST good
Jul 20, 2017 I'm not gonna get into specifics. There is good stuff out there. Medicine Man for example is what I would call good, great even I'm talking about the general direction like the two projects he's released as a whole aren't good Stop being defensive man
Jul 20, 2017 I love RECOVERY album. I remember 2010 - a lot of good memories, a wonderful time. All my friends listened to this album, even such friends who never listened to rap music. This album united people, united friends, it was full of solidarity to listen to Eminem's music. Nothing of the kind happened when MMLP2 was released. People stopped listening to Eminem and were not interested in his music, after they heard the MMLP2. Berzerk, Survival, Rap God, The Monster, Headlights, Beautiful Pain and Legacy - best songs (for me) from MMLP2. All others songs - real trash and garbage. Encore was better. Soul Intent, SS EP, SS LP, MMLP-1, Devil's Night, EmShow, 8 Mile OST, D12 World, Encore, Curtain Call, Relapse, Recovery >>>>> MMLP2 > ShadyXV > SouthpawOST
Jul 20, 2017 f--- Bad Guy and f--- all this s--- that he did for Stan's who buy bricks for $ 300. MMLP2 and and all subsequent releases were for the Stans who buy bricks for $ 300.
Jul 20, 2017 i keep coming back to Recovery more than mmlp2 or relapse i loved relapse but its dated as f--- now maybe it cause i had the Recovery cd the songs stick ion ym head and i can rap along with most of them but im not sure if i want this new album i think i just want a new single nothing worse then sitting through an album and cringing at the effort thats been made if it isnt great
