Huge part of of my life, was fortunate enough to see Soundgarden twice with my dad.

Still in shock.. Just keep playing Soundgarden Audioslave and TOTD over and over. Sad sad day

    RIP Chris Cornell

Chris died in my home state. My dad and I were gonna try and go but I couldn't make the trip up. Can't even imagine what it would have felt like to be there and then hear he passed away.

Soundgarden was the band that pulled me into rock music, and then the rest of Seattle captured me. Before Alice, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana... There was Soundgarden.

    This hurts man

Not sure if any of you are in the STL area but if you are: Pointfest (which Soundgarden was scheduled to headline) has been canceled

:mjcry: jesus im having a nostalgia trip here

i remember grade 6 when we were moving on from elementary school up to our new jr. high school they'd have us all do a lipsync at the end of the year for some reason. everyone wanted to do meme s--- like barbie girl and weird al yancovich but me and my 4 friends tried to do Set it Off by audioslave but when our teacher was reviewing lyrics she wouldn't let it go because it said "set this f---er off" in one of the pre choruses
we wound up doing doesn't remind me :mjcry:

weird f---ing thing to get 6th graders to do for graduation but still

There's a lot of doubt about this being a suicide, but what's the alternative? He was found with a band around his neck. Looking like a suicide, murder (far fetched) or David Carradine type ending. I don't even know

I'm definitely a bigger Soundgarden fan than I am an Audioslave fan but Audioslave was an incredible supergroup.. Few of my favorites

I guess accidental, like you said it could have been an autoerotic asphyxiation thing if he was into that (but I'm pretty sure legally that's considered accidental suicide) or it could have been some kind of accident when he had something around his neck and slipped or fell or something and it strangled him. Really don't know enough to say, I'm not sure what kind of thing was wrapped around his neck other than it being a "band" which doesn't say much. Tbh I just think people don't want to believe it's true. His wife said he wasn't showing any signs of depression or suicidal thoughts and that he was happy but it's incredibly easy for people to just not show signs or if they are showing them to hide them really well. Idk part of me hopes this wasn't suicide but I'd hate for him to be embarrassed by the media if it really was a carradine thing
