May 18, 2017 Music has gotten me through a lot of f---ing rough times, same as a lot of you in this thread I'm sure. Soundgarden, Audioslave too.. Chris Cornell was so underrated in my opinion, same as a lot of the other "grunge" musicians, but Chris had it all. Listening to the discographies is gonna be so different now Just played Superunknown front to back two days ago, still as great as ever
May 18, 2017 d---. I won't act like I was a huge fan but I the audioslave album that had cochise and s--- was GOAT and Soundgarden was legendary. Rest In Peace Chris
May 18, 2017 A part of me wishes I was at that last concert and a part of me wouldn't have wanted that at all. I wish he would have lived another 30 something years like I thought he would. Out of all the singers that came out of that Seattle scene, Chris seemed the most alive and in control.. Depression is a b----
May 18, 2017 A true innovator. Black Hole Sun is still one of my favorite tracks. Coming home from school and seeing that video on MTV was pretty f---ing awesome in it's time Another great one gone
May 18, 2017 Wow. Grew up listening to him. We lost Layne, Kurt, Scott, and now Chris. Someone find Eddie right now and make sure he's okay.
May 18, 2017 I'm a little salty about Eddie because I never liked pearl jam as much as pretty much literally any other grunge band and in the 25 years kurt cobain has been dead Eddie's been rallying and fundraising to release 3 child murderers from jail
May 18, 2017 Yes I'll admit I don't like Pearl Jam at all. I mean I would feel really bad if Vedder died but I've always thought they were overrated. I don't even like Ten very much. His vocal style just irritates me. Sounds like he's always mumbling and slurring. His lyrics are questionable too.
May 18, 2017 I hit the country roads today for about 2 hours on the bike listening to Audioslave and Soundgarden playlists. I almost never put on music when riding because I don't want distractions but f--- man this s--- got to me this morning when I woke up and saw the news. I was in 1st or 2nd grade when Superunknown came out but it wasn't until I was in middle school in late 90s that I actually heard Soundgarden. So many great memories I revisited today on that bike ride. Thank you Chris for your music and allowing all of us to enjoy your talent. Rest easy.
