I actually been listening to this quite often, although I do occasionally skip those glossy pop track..

So I'm going with Believe, Chloreseptic, Bad Husband, Framed, Offended, Castle, Arose rest is meh.

album is fire. hating is the cool thing to do but hes spitting from all eras and its legendary. go listen to your mumble rap because revival is what real hip hop is all about. funny s---, deep s---, scary s---, relationship s---. patritotic s---......this album had it all and was for the fans. if you dont love this album its a YOU problem not Eminems

I don't think so.

MMLP2 is hated for its s-----y structure and lack of identity... but at least the quality of the writing, rapping and songs were up to a certain par. I enjoy individual aspects of MMLP2 a h--- of a lot and have since it was released, I still can listen to it through and it's an enjoyable, engaging listen...

It's just 'as an album' which is the issue, and as 'mmlp 2'. It's a great mixtape though.

But Revival, aside from a few examples of greatness (Believe, Chlora, Untouchable, Castle, Arose... and even all of those... MEH. They don't grab me in the same way as good Em s--- usually does) - not only is it terrible as an album, like MMLP2, but many of the individual songs fkn s--- as well. And, then within the individual songs, lots of his writing sucks. He was really lazy with a lot of his wordplay throughout, this constant 'like' s---, with no craft or cleverness, and Encore-style reverting to stupidness out of boredom, like the diarrhea line, stretching out flows due to lack of content... You know Em is giving up when he starts doing those things. And the 50,000 feature hooks don't help.

Has he actually given up on making hooks? Why is he so fkn lazy.

Plus it's just flat, boring. I don't feel like listening to it and it makes no sense. It's a f---ing dud. All the hate Relapse initially got (and didn't deserve) is exactly what Revival is getting - and very much deserves.

And looks like his mindset of trying to please everybody, like a service, isn't going anywhere. So, I have no hope at all that he can make another good album. Will be more confused bs.

It's gone down in my books slightly now tbh. I really enjoyed it at first but the lack of cohesion as a body of work is what ruins it for me. About a third of the songs are great, a third are ok and a third are just pure trash.

It's still above Relapse and Encore imo though.
