He's also more influential in rap and had more staying power outside of singles. You forget before grodt dropped, 50 was one of the hottest street rappers. He had an early mixtape run and already had heavy buzz. Nelly didnt have near that buzz until his second album. His music was definitely more popular because outside of Nelly's singles, how many people can name tracks off those albums or songs in general? 50 had gems that weren't even singles fam.
