Oct 9, 2020 Royce. The same guy who pushes Em to absolute limits on the mic, resulting in some of Em's best verses. The same guy, who defended an embarresment called Revival and called MMLP2 as an album that gave him "nightmares" (while it is 7.5 at best) The same guy who repeatedly called out Lord Jamar for his comments towards Eminem and also the same guy who squashed a beef b/n two. Y'all really clueless lmao. The beef with Nick Cannon never ever looked serious besides "The Warning". Even tho Nick took Em's shots personal, he still expressed admiration for Em sometimes. Probably another beef getting squashed now. Even KXNG Crooked said that Marshall and Nick were cool now in response to a fan complaining about Royce posting pics with Nick. Royce: *Literally turns into a yes man and defends some of his best friend's worst s---* Stans: Yo Royce stalling Em's progress f--- Royce. Royce: *Facilitating some positive endings to a few beefs, including a not-so serious beef that never mattered, naming Doggystyle as an album he wouldn't sacrifice even if it meant staying without some Em while he clearly said that Em is up higher for him as an emcee* Stans: "f--- Royce" Tf is this guy supposed to do to please y'all lmao.
Oct 9, 2020 I still wonder how Nick Cannon is still somewhat respected by some rappers, but not by the community. Like, he had 1 hit and is mainly just known for TV appearances and he's still respected. Weird if you ask me
Oct 10, 2020 So, here's what I think of the whole thing (not that anyone will care): Proof used to do this for Em. I feel like Royce is trying to take Proof's place, in a good way. "All the hate, can't tell exactly where it stems from, but it's happening again huh?". If you think the beefs with Lord Jamar (from 2014~2020), Joe Budden (2017~2020), MGK (2018~...), Nick Cannon (2019~2020) don't affect Eminem on an emotional level in one way or the other, you're wrong. Did you ever stop and asked yourself why all of a sudden everybody seems to be questioning if Eminem's is one of the GOATs? If he's on people's Top 5? Or Top 10?. Do you think that would've happen if Eminem didn't have any of the beefs I mentioned above for the past 6 years?. No. Do you not think that maybe when Em and Royce talked to each other (either personally or a phone call or whatever), he doesn't voice his concerns about these stuff to his friend? So, that's why I think Royce is actually trying to help him. I can clearly imagine Royce telling him something like: "Look Em, people will start to appreciate you more in the culture once you don't have beefs with anybody. Your issues with these people (except MGK, cuz nobody cares about him really) are clouding their judgement". It's no coincidence that Joe Budden hinted SEVERAL times on his Podcast that work was being done behind the scenes to squash the beef, and... out of a sudden, Joe stopped criticizing Em, making fun of him, or even talking about him at all. Those of you who listened to his podcasts will know that before this happened, Joe would drop Em's name (in negative ways) all the time, even mimicking the way he raps, ridiculing him. Then... BOOM! He started to say things like "Em once told me, you need to let it breathe after you make a good punchline in your songs", and many other friendly comments towards Em. Then, and more recently. Lord Jamar says he's good with Marshall now. And now, the Nick Cannon thing. Em will never come out and say "X and I are OK now. The beef is over". He might do it in a song, but he'd never Tweet or post an IG picture like that. Because he has an image to portray and live up to. He loves being seen as "the bad guy", in terms of his public image. Even though he may not be like that behind close doors at all. Everyone who's ever known him says he's a very nice guy (Chris D'Elia comes to mind) and nothing like he expected. Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to address this whole thing.
