May 24, 2018 How come Gucci g--- gucci g--- gucci g--- became the most Streamed Song In The United States? there are like 999999999... songs about Drugs, Money and b------s in the rap game. Some lyrical miracle s--- for make a difference is fine. The lyrics aren't the problem, the problem is the lame production behind Eminem. Because once he said: "It is not about lyrics anymore, It’s about a hot beat and a catchy hook" and it happens a lot right now in the rap game. How can you enjoy the lyrics when the beat sucks and makes the whole track unlistenable in the first place?. That's why we don't want Rick Rubin and Alex Da Kid near any Eminem project.
May 24, 2018 Ewwww. Just. No. Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, Legacy, Rap God, So Far, Love Games... MMLP2 has so much fire. Even the corn tracks are mostly fire @ Survival, The Monster is a jam... The lyricism and rapping is beyond better and the songs are memorable and don't make you want to snap the CD and k--- yourself.
May 24, 2018 You're right, but Lil Pump is not considered as a lyricist in the rap game, same goes for a lot of rapper these days, Em back in the day was considered a fine lyricist, the best part, he wasn't trying that hard. Em is great with his pen game even today, but he isn't saying much that can be considered relevant. So even with songs that have had a great production, he either ruined it with his flow(Untouchable's second part had an amazing beat), his fake deep voice, or conscious raps that felt so forced from his end. An unpopular opinion here, but the reason I liked Walk on Water a lot was because he was saying something that he genuinely wanted to get out there, verses were not too long, there was a coherent theme and a message, same goes for Chloraseptic Remix. But his BME stuff has been nothing but lyrical miracle stuff that gets boring even if he has had great production, take A Kiss for example, that isn't a bad beat at all, but the song is just so wack
May 28, 2018 Because it's an extremely short song. Kids put the s--- on repeat. Same way --- got #1 on Billboard. These artists have found a way to exploit the album sales equation on these music streaming platforms.
