Jun 4, 2020 AOTY Contender for sure. 2 Chainz was offbeat (Like always). This is why he only has a few hits. Every once in awhile he'll rap on the beat and make a good song. Not a huge fan of his obviously. They definitely could have found a better feature.
Jun 4, 2020 Sounds like I'm in the minority of people who's fave was #3. Haven't given this a chance but I'm still catching up with other releases.
Jun 4, 2020 Oh oops my bad, this is what I meant to say 2 Chainz verse the only redeeming thing on this dumpster fire of an album. Like a mix between school shooter music and liberal SJW’s
Jun 4, 2020 Rtj 1 and 2 have more bangers but rtj 3 and 4 stick to the concept better from start to finish. They are all incredible albums either way, cant remember anyone doing 4 in a row this good in recent times
Jun 5, 2020 Amazing album. El-p was on point with the beats. Both did well lyrically tho. Killer Mike specially, mans dropped like 5 verse of the year contenders. Though i wouldn't be able to enjoy albums put out by other artists if they preached similar political ideologies (i identify myself as a centrist-right because issues in India are entirely different and left here is literally a pretentious shithole for some reason) there is something magical about their lyricism. It is so poetic. When i hear these two, i hear two genuinely frustrated individuals using hip-hop to talk their s--- and use it to change their world. Killer's actual involvement in activism adds so much to their music too. 9.4/10 WHAT A RUN THESE TWO ARE HAVING Final three tracks of the album are SOTY contenders.
Jun 5, 2020 I don’t agree with often brotha but 2 Chainz wasn’t off beat and was the best thing about this album.
