It's funny how S80 was low budget but I still like it better. I wish he would go back to that voice. You ain't gotta lie and Institutionalited though:allears:. I won't talk about the rest of that album cuz..forget it.

Discuss this factual order and give yours. Please no mentions of how good TPAB 'musically' is.

Tbh, I agree with you, however I sometimes switch s80 and gkmc. Gkmc is his best album for me overall, but s80 has most replay and probably my favourite

My favourite is TPAB followed by S80 and then GKMC.

S80 was my favourite for a long time, but a few months after the release of TPAB I grew to love and prefer TPAB even more than S80.

    GKMC>TPAB>S80

before you think i'm just a generic fan, ive listened to all three of these projects countless times, and this was brutal for me.

these three albums are better than 90% of the s--- ive heard

but yeah GKMC is still my favourite with songs like Swimming Pools and BDKMV

TPAB i still love but i feel you have to be in a certain mood to really take it in and enjoy it

S80 is such a good album but i find myself coming back to it less. Plus i wish there were more songs like Ab-Souls Outro on S80, s--- was fire.

I'm kind of disapointed with tpab. But I kind of agree with you when you say that you dont find yourself going back to s80 that much. But I just think that's my mind wanting to appreciate new music.

No, you can't ask me because I will be bodyslammed and thrown against a wall by some Kendrick soldiers. Kidding lmao.
I honestly think he missed a lot when it comes to songwriting and structuring songs. And I was not contented with a lot of instrumentals even though I'm actually a fan of soul and funk. Also it lacks replay value for me. But I still like Momma and these walls for example.

you should change the thread title,... not sure why you should make a thread just for your opinion... and if we're supposed to give OUR ranking then the best thing would be to change the title

    100% this

    1. tpab
    2. s80
    3. gkmc

tpab is a thing of beauty,
    Kamasi Washington.
    Terrace Martin.
    Robert Glasper.
    Thundercat.
    Ambrose Akinmusire.

TPAB is oozing with BLACK musical excellence.

I mean, it might've been a dope album if it was straight Hip-Hop but once they dipped into the ideas black musicians have helped to pioneer over the past 100 years.

s--- was over at that point :wow:

    TPAB > gkmc = section 80

my order would be TPAB first and its a tie between s80 & gkmc. Tpab's composition is just beautiful so it takes the lead for me

I also enjoy s80 a lot more than gkmc, but I think gkmc is still more structured and cohesive so I don't know which one is better

TPAB is kendrick only great album, the rest of his catalog is corny.

tpab & gkmc will both go down as classics, but tpab really is the only kendrick album I can listen to.

I was disappointed as f--- when I decided to revisit gkmc, didn't expect the production to be so basic, specially after hearing tpab..

I agree with whoever said you should change the title to something like s80 vs gkmc vs tpab. It makes you look pretentious lol, specially since all his albums were made for different audiences.
As far as I'm concerned, I've recentlly fallen in love with O.D., I can relate to it the most

O.D. > Tpab > Gkmc > section but thats just me.

    Generic basic b----.

Nah I agree with your order. GKMC is the best album since MBDTF for me and the production is great, it's not dated at all and will have greater replay value in the future.
