I'm currently listening to the geto boys albums ("the resurrection" -1996- is incredible), and also some memphis rap from the early 90s (mc spade, tommy wright iii, mc mack...), some albums are as gritty and grimy as it gets and their flows mostly aged very well, i'm loving it Spoiler probably a reach but... does eminem's "go to sleep" reference this?
May 8, 2020 I thought of that song as soon as you mentioned The Resurrection! Classic. I really don't know Geto Boys discog as well as I should. Also would love to listen to more old school Memphis but I've never really dug in besides Triple 6. Any suggestions?
