    They're mostly worried about it being a slippery slope. In my experience, they're the same people who are alcoholics that don't want weed legalized because they think it'll lead to everyone shooting up black tar heroin.

    You really believe that the reason the U.S. hasn’t been invaded in recent history is because there’s mass amounts of firearms throughout the country? Do you really think the viet cong or Al-Qaeda or the taliban or even the Nazis/Japanese when we entered WWII were capable of invading the U.S? They weren’t.

    Secondly, I’m totally fine with someone owning a gun. I never said I was against gun ownership. I simply want more laws put in place to make gun owners more responsible & insure those purchasing firearms are healthy enough to own one.

    Not it doesn't. The second amendment is irrelevant, it was made a long time ago. Things change and should've changed forever ago when we started developing weapons capable of the s--- they can do now

    That's honestly the dumbest f---ing thing. I used to be really ignorant and patriotic and was like "yeah, USA! Rights! Everyone can own guns" honestly though that's just the dumbest mentality, makes no sense if you think about it for a second

    Gun laws or not, maybe we should look at why a person would ever feel the need/want to do this. Not exactly related, but suicide rates have been skyrocketing, too. America is in a dark place and there must be some type of root cause for all of this.
