An armed deputy at the Florida school during the shooting, never went inside to confront the shooter. He stood outside for several minutes as the shooting was taking place. Yet, let’s give teachers guns & expect they’ll perform even better!

    Holy s---
"The deputy, Scot Peterson, resigned on Thursday after being suspended without pay after Sheriff Scott Israel reviewed surveillance video.
“He never went in,” Sheriff Israel said in a news conference. He said the video showed Deputy Peterson doing “nothing.”
“There are no words,” said Sheriff Israel, who described himself as “devastated, sick to my stomach.”"

90% of the people who want to be a good teacher don't want to carry a gun or use a gun.

90% of the people who want to be a teacher and carry a gun aren't going to be good teachers... 50% of them probably fantasize about killing their students.

Giving teachers guns doesn't solve the issue. Theres been shootings is theaters night clubs, and concerts. Are we supposed to live in a world where every single f---ing place we visit or take our families to has an armed army just so people can hold on to a right written in a document over 200 years ago? And I'm a gun owner. But if giving up my gun meant saving 1 kids life, well I'd turn in my gun tomorrow. And if you use the excuse that you want your weapon to protect your family, well youre living in the wrong f---ing neighborhood.

You have to understand we are dealing with people like blair and trent... they have very small d----s and they c-m after 2 seconds and then their little d----s won't get hard for another week.

They need their AR-15s so they can go down to the range and blast off hundreds of dollars worth of ammunition at silhouettes they can pretend are real men who they hate so much.

Do you really want to take that from them?

idk if this was already posted but
    http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/grade...o-post-in-god-we-trust-in-all-public-schools/

With the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High shooting still looming large, its students in the Capitol to lobby for gun controls, the Florida House overwhelmingly passed a measure Wednesday its sponsor said aimed at bringing "light" to the schools.

The bill (HB 839) would require all public schools to post the state motto, "In God We Trust," in a "conspicuous place."

isn't that illegal? Doesn't separation of church and state apply to public schools?

I feel like there's probably some sort of loophole considering it's the state motto but idk I'm not a lawyer

Just means you can’t force students to practice a religion, not that you can’t teach, practice, or follow a religion

yeah I meant for putting up "In God We Trust" in the school. I know they can practice their own religions on their own time

Probably. Thing is, it’s their state motto so they’d argue in court that religion had nothing to do with the decision even though it obvi did.
