Mar 29, 2018 I hadn't thought of it like that yet...but it's true. Interscope won't be breathing down his neck any longer, demanding a poppy single, or steering his music to have more of this, or less of that. This really is reason to be extremely optimistic for Em's future work.
Mar 30, 2018 Bumping Arose tears streaming while taping boxes up with Marshall and Paul lol #nomoreinterscope tbh f--- Interscope now ..its more for pop acts
Mar 31, 2018 lol em isn't even signed to shady records hes signed to web entertainment and Goliath which is a part of aftermath and aftermath is a part of interscope (jmmy iovine) so really this dont mean much jimmy was the reason street king immortal didn't come out and we didn't get champions
Mar 31, 2018 Y'all are f---ing brain dead. His albums aren't on his s-----y label. The world needs a new plague.
Mar 31, 2018 Didn’t Shady sign someone new recently? He was in the video of the Trump freestyle I’m sure...
Mar 31, 2018 Oh, is that so? Hmmmm, let's start with Relapse shall we. We made you!?!? Someone ELSE found that song from an artist in Connecticut and gave it to Eminem to record verses over for his single. Hook was already attached.(The beginning of the Eminem collab system.) Recovery, love the way you lie. Written by Skylar grey and Alex da kid. Song was handed to Eminems label. His label then sent the song to Rihanna to record the hook. Mmlp2, Monster. Same thing. Some chick wrote the track, got into label execs hands. They send it Rihanna, goes back to Eminem. Revival, Pop stars are asked and encouraged by the label, NOT Eminem to write and submit pop songs for his upcoming album. Not a single one of these stories mentions Eminem personally reaching out and asking for this s---. People on his label scout and find these songs, hand them to Eminem and say, record. I'm not saying Eminem is against this. I dont think he is. Its not his doing though. They tell him what to do. This is how it WORKS. During MMLP, you really think that was all Eminems idea? Or was Dre there telling him, go the f--- off, go hard, you will be huge. Eminem even said dre told him to change his vocal style for mmlp and lose the nasaly voice. Now he has wrong people telling him to make pop songs. Major labels decide everything. Read your history. In the late 90s early 2000 dozens of bands, on top of the world at the time, broke up and were banished from their labels because of this, walking away from music when at their highest popularity just because of standards they had for themselves. Interscope was the hardest label to get albums released on, unless the album had a huge poppy single to go with it.(Limp Bizkit was exploited and used in every way here) Several of those bands came forward 10 to 15 years later and said the labels were forcing them to make poppy music, the bands had pride and said no, labels released them.(Reveille, Spineshank, HedPe) It's all business. ALL artists, yes even Eminem, have a deadline they have to make for their album to be completed and with that package their needs to be a hit record. If the artist is having a hard time making a hit on their own, or finding a direction for the album, the label will step in and do it for you. But I'm the r-----ed one huh? Or maybe you are just uneducated in what you are speaking about. Would love to hear your counter argument with points and examples as well. I'll wait.
