Aug 29, 2017 Not so much shady as f---ing stupid, but I remember taking the tour of the Herr's Potato Chip factory when I was younger and seeing a machine that scanned chips for burnt or uncooked ones, and shook them off the line that was moving chips down to be seasoned. Yet, when I worked there for all of 3 days, I stood in front of a f---ing open tube that was shaking the chips along, and had to search for uncooked/burnt chips manually and pick them out and throw them into a bucket next to me. s--- was dull and I'm glad I don't worth there anymore, they were pretty much paying me peanuts for ridiculous hours.
Aug 29, 2017 Back in the days I used to work at vegetables magazine, where we used to sort vegetables for different kinds of packed salads. Sometimes people were biting vegetables just for the f--- of it, then they were putting these bitten vegetables into the pack. There were situations when manager was putting out-dated salads into the fresh mix, just to get rid of it. Some guys didn't wash their hands after the toilet. Awful job.
Aug 29, 2017 there are eyewear companies who i will not name since it has to do with who the specific provider that works at these franchises that will genuinely rip you off by up selling glasses and committing fraud to make more more money for themselves than they should
Aug 29, 2017 wow u guys are like "some dudes were unhygienic" that's not even shady. You want to hear some shady s---? any tradesman in Aus will happily lower costs for a job and divert paying tax to the government. They will even say "this job will cost you $xxxx but it would be half that price if it was a cashie job"
Aug 29, 2017 Kind of f----- up that there are people who exist that do s--- like that puposely. That's something that normal, mentally healthy people wouldn't even think of. Unless the customer pissed you off or was being a d-ck of course.
Aug 30, 2017 nah its just lazy people that don't give a f---, no need to give it a deep medical diagnosis
Aug 30, 2017 I've never really been privy to much "shady" s--- at all. There's definitely politics and favourites though everywhere but that's normal.
Aug 30, 2017 There are kickbacks in almost all construction deals. You see a building being painted or a road being built, so much cash changing hands. Corruption is everywhere.
Aug 30, 2017 oh yeah speaking of construction me and my friends were smoking weed in like grade 9 or 10 on a trail beind a RONA (like another version of home depot in canda with a lumber yard) and this truck came up the road and we thought it was cops and started to get a bit paranoid the guys came up and shined lights in our faces and asked if we were smoking weed we didnt answer and they cut the chainlink fence to the lumber yard open and strated stealing shingles and they said if we helped them they'd give us more weed we were scared as f--- so we did it anyway they gave us the weed and went off turns out they were some local roofing company
Aug 30, 2017 Not saying it's not a bad practice it's just that I think every place does that. I worked at Pita Pit and they do that and my friends who worked at Jack In The Box say the same, and it probably varies from manager to manager so I'm sure you've eaten at places that do the same and I'm sure you've passed on specific subways that don't do that.
Aug 30, 2017 Only thing id eat from fast food places in terms of "fresh" produce was ever iceberg lettuce Never trusted tomato or "fresh" red onion or anything like that my entire life and I was vindicated that day at subway I also found maggots in the red onions and was told to brush them off and cut around where they were eating
Aug 30, 2017 A friend of mine has an uncle who started his landscaping company by stealing palm trees off the interstate in Florida. He would just pull up a truck to a $5,000 tree, chain it up and pull it out of the ground. Do it 5-10 times per night, you gonna be alright.
