Jan 14, 2017 Season 4 is f---ing amazing so far. Makes up for the severe dip on season 3. Can't wait for tomorrows episode. Hearing rumours that this may be the last season. Doesn't surprise me considering it must be nigh on impossible to get these actors together for a TV programme now considering how big they are in Hollywood. Gutted if it's true though.

Jan 16, 2017 Nah, the writers have confirmed that that's it. They have purposely left it as a happy ending though so they have the ability to do some special episodes if they want but 100% no more seasons.
Jan 21, 2017 Man, this was a disappointing series. Episode 1 was far and away the lowest this show has ever dipped. The following two episodes clawed a bit of dignity back but there were still too many "wait, what?" moments that took me out of it. The drama is too thick, the characters are joyless and they've replaced mysteries with magic. It was well acted for the most part, though the characters were lost in all the twists and turns. Watson's wife was a big exception to that. She was awful. The show works less well as a melodramatic superhero serial than it did as a witty mystery of the week. I think Sherlock's massive success, combined with the long breaks kind of poisoned it. This series feels like a reunion tour that is a while overdue. Yeah, the band is back together, but it's not the same and it doesn't work like it used to.
