Jan 7, 2017 Last year Stevie Wonder expressed that he was a fan of Kendrick Lamar's music ...“Kendrick Lamar is extremely talented. But not only is he just talented; he has a real concern for the people,” and in an interview with GQ Magazine sang his own version of "i": "It’s at this point in our conversation that Stevie jams out to his own rendition of Kendrick’s new single, "i," his braids bouncing into motion, the wattage of his huge smile going up a few notches as he uses all four limbs to tap out different rhythms to the song. He turns "i" into the Stevie Wonder version of Kendrick Lamar." I would be interested in hearing what these two could create. Kendrick has already dabbled in jazz and funk and the use of live instrumentation would be crucial in creating a unique sound between them. What are your thoughts? Jan 7, 2017 Stevie's not good enough for him. He doesn't have a big enough knowledge of jazz. Kendrick understands music. Stevie would only bring him down.
Jan 8, 2017 Oooooooooooh I don't know about that... He'd have to bring his absolute best for sure but I sorta don't want him to ruin a classic. If they were to collab they should work on new material I reckon.
Jan 8, 2017 hahaa I mean new music is always nice too...and you got a point there but I doubt Kendrick would give anything less than his best on a track like that.
Jan 8, 2017 Kendrick is the greatest musician of all time. He invented jazz. You need a certain type of intelligence to understand him. Stevie just isn't on his level. Stevie just tries to play the music Kendrick created.
Jan 8, 2017 No you just aren't smart enough to understand that Kendrick is the greatest, most intelligent musician of all time. Clearly you don't know much about jazz.
