Jan 23, 2017 I don't see a valid argument against it while the arguments for it call for transparency, especially for a candidate as invested globally as Trump.
Jan 23, 2017 It's been par for the course for every president until him. A lot of people want to know the specifics about his foreign interests. The fact he doesn't want to release them is also a red flag. Again, what's the counter argument here?
Jan 23, 2017 Trump repeated a two part lie on the campaign trail over and over again. He said he couldn't release his tax papers because he was being audited. 1) you can release your tax papers when you are being audited... several presidential candidates have before. 2) Trump isn't being audited. In the mid 90's Trump s----d at business so bad he lost $1 billion and wrote it off... he hasn't had to pay federal taxes since then. You losers pay more in federal taxes every year than he has since you have been alive.
Jan 23, 2017 I'd like to see them, for sure. He probably is hiding something, like how his opponent was hiding things in her deleted emails. I'd like to see wikileaks release them, release all that they have on Trump.
Jan 23, 2017 Why does it really matter at this point? The people against him will throw the same fit they have been, and the people for him simply won't give a s--- still.
Jan 23, 2017 Again, what makes him have to release them? What would a Tax return have to do with foreign interests? And the fact that he doesn't want to release them is just him not wanting to release them. Why does he have to?
Jan 23, 2017 Also, I cannot remember if it ever happened, and Im not saying I believe it all, but did Obama ever release his birth certificate? I recall that it just kind of showed up in Hawaii
Jan 23, 2017 Yes, they need to be released. If he is in debt to any foreign countries, his own personal debt and foreign relationships now affect all of us. Also, he is now the commander in chief who paid no taxes, which means he paid $0 to support our military troops and veterans. You guys do realize that the military and vets get paid from taxes right? I'm not ok with someone who voluntarily doesn't pay his dues for our freedom and then claim to be our leader.
Jan 23, 2017 Uhh, nothing. That's the point of the thread. He kind of runs a global real estate empire. He doesn't. Again, that's the point of the thread. Are you dense?
Jan 23, 2017 I was asking you why he's required to? He's not, which is the point of my argument. Its not the nations business to know the presidents personal finances. If a president releases them? Awesome, good for them. If a president doesn't release them? Cool, fine with me.
Jan 23, 2017 I mean I would like to see them because I believe he's probably hiding something, but what's it going to change? It'll just confirm the suspicions of the doubters, and do nothing for the supporters. I'm just so over this whole thing. I just wish Trump was a normal f---ing guy and not an a------ so that all his opposers would have just dealt with the defeat by now like most normal republicans did when Obama won the past two elections
Jan 23, 2017 Negged for being dumb. Meh, the outrage is justified and necessary to keep him under scrutiny now that his retardation can be put into practice. The left have been pretty pathetic though as far as calling the office illegitimate. So much real controversy and yet people still push bs. They also don't seem to realize that Trump voters aren't a monolith of racist midwestern mongoloids, despite that element having been worryingly embraced by his campaign.
Jan 23, 2017 Q: Should the president be required to release his tax returns? A: HE DON'T HAVE TO!! You fundamentally misunderstand the topic at hand and I'm pretty sure you don't even know what a tax return is. Crawl back to /pol/ where anonymity shields you from being identified as a mouth breather.
Jan 23, 2017 doesnt matter Aus found out a heap of PM's/politicians are dodging their taxes, had overseas bank accounts, used government money to pay for holidays etc. guess what happened to them, absolutely fucken nothing.
