Sep 23, 2018 My dad used to force me to listen to him when I was little bitty so technically like 11. But I didn’t actually start enjoying him and listening to him on my own until Curtain Call when I heard When I’m Gone and decided cuss words didn’t bother me anymore and I was around probably 14.

Sep 23, 2018 Jeez this thread makes me feel old. I was 15 and the MMLP had just come out. The Real Slim Shady was all over the radio, and I was already into rap music from years earlier, and really liked the way he sounded on the song, so I went to buy MMLP. Dude at the counter said he can't sell it to me because I look like a kid (and to be fair I did lol) so I got my mum to buy it for me. Luckily I have great parents who trusted my own judgement on things I'm not technically old enough to watch/listen to. Took that album home and I feel like I listened to it on repeat for a week straight and knew every word, every adlib... went straight out and bought SSLP and actually loved it even more. Then went on an insane mission to download every single Eminem song/freestyle/feature I could. So yeah, from the age of 15, around 2000. Lol.
Sep 23, 2018 How did none of yall hear lose yourself back in the day? It was literally played everywhere on the radio, music channels constantly
Sep 23, 2018 It was in 2011. I had got into a huge fight with some fellows in my school. I felt demotivated as f--- because I was on verge of suspension, but then one of my friends put his headphones into my ears and played Not Afraid. I had listened to Lil Wayne before so I had no idea why the f--- he was shouting and cussing so loud. Then I read his autobiography on Wiki. And finally download The Eminem Show at insistence of that friend and bumped a living s--- out of it and Recovery for months until MMLP2 came out. Rest is history. Then in 2013 end I came across Relapse and the idea of Relapse 2 and King Mathers and I spent hours on the web trying to discover some unreleased s---. Those days. Man.
Sep 23, 2018 In 1999 I was moving to the beach, saw the video for 'My Name Is' thought it was crafty but thought oh crap another white guy in rap. Then a month later heard Bad Influence on End of Days Soundtrack , So then it connected with me, oh this guy is legit, not just some gimmick
