The much bigger news of the week IMO is Tirico leaving espn for nbc...dude is giving up MNF, the college football championship game, and the NBA to do 8 thursday night fotball games, the olympics once every four years, and golf.

I usually like Tirico but thought he did a pretty s-----y job calling Kobe's last game so I'll always have that negative feeling when I think of him cuz of that.

Don't care about Skip leaving.

d---, really? What did he do? I was watching the Laker's broadcast of it.

I'll always have bad feelings towards Tirico for how he treated Tony K during his time on MNF...no selling his jokes for two years then complaining to the suits all off season until they agreed to take him off.

ESPN sucks. It's like E! for sports, just gossiping bs. Their breakdowns are f---ing lazy in each sport. All they care about is how personalities mesh together on set, rather than actually discussing the SPORT they're talking about.

One of the best analysts they had was Eric Mangini, I loved his segments, because he actually broke s--- down. Apparently, ESPN fans don't like that though, they'd rather have Ditka act like a f---ing moron instead.

Skip sucks too, and so does Stephen A. Show is unbearable.

That sucks! First Take is easily my favorite sports show and Skip is the #1 reason I love watching it. If he goes to FS1 I'll watch his new show.

Also, I find it funny that he's leaving after the NBA Finals when his contract runs through the end of August. He probably figured it'd be pointless for him to waste his last two months on the show during the most BORING time of the year for sports: mid-summer when there is literally nothing going on but baseball.

Wasn't one thing in particular, just didn't enjoy his call very much of it. He kept yelling 'got em all!' or 'gutterball' (i think it's the first one) after a bunch of shots, maybe it's one of his catch phrases or something, I don't know, but it was kinda annoying and didn't make much sense and could have been called better imo. I'm gonna watch that game again throughout the years I'm sure since it's probably my favorite sports moment ever, just wasn't too impressed with the announcing. I did watch highlights of the Lakers broadcast and they did very good from what I saw, I like their announce team.
