Sep 17, 2017 I'm actually listening to the album right now the op made me do it with this lame a--- thread and If I had track is even better than I remember d--- that beat who the f--- said beats on this album are trash the fack?
Sep 17, 2017 There's an unreleased Recovery era track where Eminem says "SSLP is like your mother, in other words IT AGED HORRIBLY". And by "your mother", he literally meant your mother @Changeling Ask jmg to confirm this info.
Sep 17, 2017 Here's a little quote roundup This, is f---ing stupid. The term 'horrible' isn't some kind of Internet jazz word, it's a basic description used in every single medium of critique, including music. Just a r-----ed statement here I cant even begin to comprehend. And I didn't say it aged, I said it aged in a bad way. A peace of music can sound like its from its time period and still sound good. The Chronic 2001 came out the same year as this album. Think about that. And here lies the problem. This 'sound' worked when it was released but due to the nature ended up sounding way worse after 17 years. Haha great, a s-----y attempt at attacking me w/ a joke because you'll be d---ed if anyone is allowed to have a negative opinion on Eminem music , yet you don't have the ability to back your own opinions or debate the points I made. You're awful
Sep 17, 2017 You care enough to formulate a cringe joke about it Also relapse is devoid of content and meaning, that album sucks
Sep 17, 2017 And SSLP being cartoonish works in its favor. Cartoonish violence with the high pitched Slim Shady voice never gets old. The whole album is like watching Tom & Jerry. You know it's old, but it still works.
Sep 17, 2017 LOL! Ironic because his s--- with Skam, Slang Ton, and other Rawkus-Tier Underground Emcee Artists was his best material, tbh. If you could find his best features and place them in one project, you'd get his best album out of a compilation. Not bad, really. But the stellar lyricist of a rapper he was then, was only suffering from a lack of complementary production that would have been deemed as just as formidable. Nas had this same problem for years (Beat selection.).
Sep 17, 2017 all of Eminem's music aged horribly, there's only a couple of songs i can still listen to. Guilty Conscience is the best song on that entire album.
Sep 17, 2017 SSLP does have dated references and the production isn't anything I love but it's a great solo debut album, I don't replay Eminem that much tho
Sep 17, 2017 ffs you calling horibble a Classic album. Sorry but everyone knows Em's first 3 LPs are CLASSIC and there's no debate
Sep 17, 2017 It's a fantastic album that has a couple crappy songs. I think the production still holds up to this day? Did you even listen to the beat and flow on Role Model?
Sep 17, 2017 Well different people are obviously have different feelings for this album some might not like it anymore and some might not. I however still like it, i get it hasnt aged well, but for me it still holds found memories when i listen to it now when a few of my friends i have now its a nostalgia feeling remembering back to that timeframe of life. For me it was whay introduced me to rap cuz all my parents did was listen to country music so when i first heard thisnit blew my mind. There has been a lot better stuff that has come out after this and yeah it may not have aged well but it still holds a place in my heart being it my first experience listening to hip hop.
