My old a--- is a 2015 Carti groupie, DKC. And I'm 31. I hate being a geezer. Fml. Why is Key! older than me? That n----- look 35. I look 25. Different genes. I promise I don't practice drinking adrenochrome.Ricky, DKC and Ordinary Joel like this.Dec 18, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) -

20 years ago this would have been epic.
ill give it a spin though. It’s cool some old school legends still doing it linked up. No hi standards for this . But it’s coolOrdinary Joel, Wreckless and J630 like this. -

sure i mean ppl can do what they want lol. hard to rebut "who cares"
i think - without triggering u by terming 'mumble rap' - alot of the new stuff frankly feels like a new genre to me . diff spirit and origin (kids using social media to blow up, rather than the wild west drug legends of ole or w/e).. which i also guess separately is why grammys made that melodic rap category. and again thats cool that u/others f--- w it, and have ur ear pierced and ride a harley, but its just not something i rly seek out, while staying generally mindful of its existence.Wreckless, RetiredAccount and Worm like this. -

I do like certain 'new' artists, some even a lot, but I really don't get the appeal for some stuff people praise on here (or elsewhere online). I guess it is age relatedWreckless, lil uzi vert stan and Ricky like this.Dec 18, 2025(This ad goes away when signing up) - Dec 18, 2025

Fr? I prefer the blatant trend chasing on Raw Footage than the absolute nothingness on I Am The West. Could happily live without hearing his kids rap ever again.Jay Zeus, Ordinary Joel and Ricky like this. -

I think I was making a general point, as someone in their 30s occasionally checking out Rap Radar or w/e
Rap's a young mans sport, imo, so I mostly gravitate toward artists who were popular when i was in school, as opposed to keeping up on new artists i have little in common with or care about. again, generally speaking, i see a charisma gap with a lot of newer artists which is fine, its not for me. im pretty comfortable casually following dad rap or dust rap or w/e ppl say lolOrdinary Joel, Lil Squeed and Wreckless like this. -

There was a lot of good stuff on Coolaid as well. Snoop albums have always had filler. But he's definitely still able to make bangers.Ordinary Joel, Mothrfckr and Ricky like this. -

Snoop and E-40 both have longevity in that sense, but I dunno man. Stuff like this always runs the risk of being forced and coming across as nonorganic (slaughterhouse). So I'd love to be surprised, but Too Short was rapping when Ronald Reagan was president lol. You're bound to lose some of that fire as you get older. Hopefully they can reinvigorate each other.
