Dec 24, 2015 Hate in their hearts? That's a really random conclusion to come to. I'm sure they decided to protest at the airport because of exactly what we're doing right now. We're all talking about it and the media covered it like crazy yesterday. It all comes down to publicity. Were they unempathetic for the people in the airport? Sure, you could say that. At the same time though they feel like their movement and their purpose is much more important and it'd be hard to argue against that. Also, I didn't assume you didn't know the history because you disagree, I assumed because you stated "how is this productive?" Clearly you know how it's productive since you said it has worked in the past.

Additionally, there's an alarming number of people who seemingly have to take one side unequivocally over the other, which only fosters more partisan resentment. The problems facing many in the black community are multi-faceted, which makes it near impossible to have a reasoned discussion, considering how intense the debate is, and what's at stake.
