Oct 9, 2018 Bro em about to get a few new diamond plaques. Recovery encore and curtain call are all pretty much there now.
Oct 9, 2018 Wheres the source on recovery selling 8 mill in us only? All i find is 4.8 mil.. however, albums still a streetanthem
Oct 9, 2018 Opinion on what man? On the album or the sales? The sales I got nothing to say about... I don't care about sales. In terms of the album... my feeling on it is about the same now as it's been for a long time - a very solid, yet very flawed album. But, really isn't 1 weak song in the batch; there's a consistent tone and feel, consistent themes... and there's A LOT of very high-grade songs on there - Cold Wind Blows, Talkin 2 Myself, WTP (like, even the ''fun s---'' is great), Not Afraid, Space Bound, Cinderella Man, Almost Famous... I mean.. you just go right through the album, so much high quality s---. Concepts, stories, great stuff. Which is why it's such a shame about its flaws. I feel if it was reproduced, by maybe Em and the Bass Bros or just Em and whoever - produced properly, but by Alex a--- face and just the noisy s-----y tacky mess that it is... + modern Em rewrote some of his worst writing in history and some of the worst puns I have ever heard or I think could be conceived of... if those two things happen... it would be an amazing classic. But, even despite its flaws, it's a very satisfying listen and I don't think should get too much hate in terms of his catalogue. It was a bold new direction. People who say Em never changes or ''same old'... wtf are you listening to. Look at ''my name is''vs. ''not afraid''... may as well be two different f---ing people. I mean, that's just absolutely ridiculous, the degree of sound, writing and vocal change there.
Oct 10, 2018 The album that Eminem went pop. I don't hate it as much as most people do but it really marked the downfall of Eminem's creativity (until Kamikaze)
Oct 10, 2018 I can't imagine bumping the pop singles like Love The Way You Lie or the corny Not Afraid and calling it "real and pure". It's cut and paste generic pop songs. The whole album is essentially over produced, over yelling, and over the top with the pop features and dumbed down lyrics. This is where Eminem joined the mainstream instead of going against them for so long.
Oct 10, 2018 Im talking bout the album as a whole. Love the way you lie is terrible and obvious sellout song. Wont back down is trash. Talkin 2 myself isnt real? Going through changes? Youre never over? Seduction top 5 post hiatus. Cold wind blows, on fire, almost famous, untitled, ridaz, session one, cinderella man isnt mainstream. Production on Relapse is way better but I rather to listen to most of Recovery than listen to someone being r---d by their stepdad or having hard taco crushed or ”now shes pregnant and gay missing both legs and begging to stay”
