So why do y’all hate Gunna again?

    Gunna got put in a weird position cuz he had to save his hardest songs for lil baby and thug so all the progression he was making as an artist in Drip Harder and other collabs was being overshadowed by Baby’s progression and his throwaways he has for Drip or Drown 2 were mid. Wunna is at the very least as good as his best projects probably even better he just didn’t handle his sound and image as well as he should’ve.

    Gunna been pushing his custom Spotify playlists for the last year or 2 specifically because he can go back geeked out and sequence his songs better in a playlist than the label can professionally. Same reason wunna deluxe has an entirely different track order.

    a lot of these guys like gunna and even post-culture migos are stuck in a weird spot project wise because both the post-gucci mixtape roots and the need for streaming #s optimization means these guys are incentivized creatively and monetarily to put out bloated projects that are hard to make cohesive but get the job done of getting x amount of clicks so the label will green light the next project
