Jun 19, 2017 kanye west isn't polarizing at all. the vast majority of people who listen to hip hop and have heard kanye's music would agree that hes' a very good artist. when someone doesn't like kanye.......it usually has NOTHING to do with his music. its about something he did. like that taylor swift or george bush s--- that's ok buddy, you can play dumb all you want-----you know exactly what i'm saying
Jun 19, 2017 This is just not true though, I've met a large amount of people who think Kanye isn't a good artist. When he dropped Yeezus or 808s, you can't tell me that everyone was just like yup this is great. The reception on pretty much all of his late career albums is split down the middle. And that's not a bad thing, it means that the art is very specific to a vision so naturally that causes division in its reception. Thug is very much this type of artist, you trying to discredit him by saying that he "hasn't convinced enough people" in order to truly be great is just silly.
Jun 19, 2017 I like how Kendrick really started all this but he was so dedicated nobody gave him s--- for it
Jun 19, 2017 I'm not even trying to compare Thug to Pac tbh. I was just confused at Timmy's definition of a "great artist"
Jun 19, 2017 even kendrick isn't the new pac, just has a lot of pac influence (thought i'd argue he takes more influence from andre 3000 than pac) js pac is one of a kind
Jun 19, 2017 I don't see the comparison at all. To be honest I think I prefer Thug over Pac, and Kanye over both .. but don't see how pac and thug are so similar
