    I agree that there is a divide between the two, but its pretty pathetic in my eyes. Sub-genres are the most unnecessary labels that keep divides alive.

    The divide is alive no matter what

    Hip hop is such a ridiculously broad umbrella at this point sub genres would only create clarity I don't think there's any point in comparing lil uzi vert to nas their music is so dramatically different the only reason people compare them is because they're both "hip hop" and there's no other words for it yet
