Dec 1, 2015 I'm a teacher. So I know first hand of what I'm talking about. This isn't a rant or anytving sexist. It's observations from a young teacher. The education system is designed for women. Male students struggle to meet the same grade average as female students. The modern male is put into a p---- whipped environment. They do not have the privilege to speak when they want. They don't have hands on alternatives. This is why, and I'll let you in on a secret, boys are on more perscrption medication than ever. Why? It's simple. Some men can adapt to the feminized school system, others can't. These boys are given an ultimatum. Take the drugs, or f--- off. In Canada, our study/special ed area is called program support. Here, if they notice patterns, like a kid being anti-social, disinterested in work, or h---, showing signs of male behaviour, they are told to go to a psychologist. Here, this psychologist gives them whatever drug they want to push. Here in Canada, minors are mostly given Prozac. Prozac turns these restless, disinterested students into docile, emotionally indifferent and almost asexual shells of their former selves. Why? ...because men who are neutered by a cocktail of SSRI's are more likely to do better at the pen to paper work. This drives up test scores. The reason women can thrive in the environment set up specifically for them, is because school work in 2015 is like clerical work. Women make better secretaries than men. They have more patience. They don't get as bored, or as distracted. Unfortunately, the curriculum being based around the stereotype of women's work, hurts both women and men. We aren't educating people to become philosophers, scientists, or engineers, we are educating people to become uncreative wage slaves. TL:DR - kids are forced to take the drugs or f--- off, schools are raising children to be carbon copies of each other, and have no sense of individuality Do you agree? Disagree?
Dec 1, 2015 If wasn't like that when I was growing up either. The only reason why I noticed it was because of the extreme differences between my school experience and the schoold experiences of youth today.
Dec 1, 2015 I like it. I was only able to work at a high school for a year. I now work at something called reconnect, basically a place for young people to get their diploma.
Dec 1, 2015 High School would be my last choice of the three. I'd rather work with the elementary or middle schoolers. Seems like they'd be d----s just like I was at that age. Although it might be different for me since I'll be working with non native speakers who tend to be shy.
Dec 1, 2015 Same. I have kinda bad anxiety sometimes and there was a period where I thought about going on meds but my parents weren't hearing it. I'm kinda glad I didn't cause it's gotten a lot better with real world experiences and I kinda like the way I am
Dec 1, 2015 Yeah, I wanted to be a high school teacher because all of my teachers s----d massive d----s. You get the occasional loudmouth pick, but you can train the classroom to hate that behaviour, if you get me.
Dec 1, 2015 Fr them opps try to send your a--- to a psychologist just cause you. can't sit in a boring a--- class for over 40 minutes.
Dec 1, 2015 Nice. How is it being in charge of the class? I have terribad public speaking skills but I'm amazing at teaching one on one (no brag). Does it get easier every time. I won't really be able to log any classroom hours until I get into graduate school in 2 years but I might do an internship over the summer.
Dec 1, 2015 Yeah, it was more of a social thing with me though. At first I was like somethings wrong with me But then I was like, maybe there's something wrong with all of them and they're out to get me
Dec 1, 2015 It's good. I'm only 25, the kids don't see a huge age gap. I have a clear voice, and don't get nervous when speaking, so it helps to be able to keep your composure.
Dec 1, 2015 d---, if all goes well I'll be out there at 24 I think. My voice gets shaky sometimes but I'm gonna go hard with this student teaching thing. Props to you though. Are there a lot of single Milfs in Canada?
Dec 1, 2015 Haha, there's unfortunately a lot of milfs in my reconnect class. It's unfortunate because these mothers are in their teens. High school is a happier environment, but the one on one here at reconnect is much more rewarding. These people need help, feels good to help them. Only thing I don't like about this job is chasing kids down. If they disappear for weeks at a time, I have to try and contact them. ..and, I have to deal with parents who are assholes.
