    So, long story short, I recently quit my 9-5 and went 100% freelance. I can make more money in less time and that's given me some time to work on personal projects. With the help of some peeps here (@Mike Tyson @Flacko @Dew @Big Mitch) I'm (re)launching a rap/rap culture longform thinkpiece website (which some of you may remember from our preemptive launch awhile back lol) as an outlet for my writing. Think of it as somewhat of an affiliate/sister site to SXN80, would love to see more SXN80 members contribute to this as well if you need an outlet for your writing chops.

    I've got a few articles/interviews in the pipeline (will be posting all the old stuff from the old SXN80 blog as well), but to start off, we got a mid-year list. Comments/critiques regarding anything on the site always appreciated.

    honestly, i like how the review questioned what a debut album even means in 2017, because i don't know myself

    this is an album to me, so was section.80, but i'm not sure what constitutes as a tape or an album anymore

    As for the list - obviously I'll have my own personal disagreements with some rankings and placements, but objectively, and overall, I thought it was a very well constructed, thought-out and put together piece. You def demonstrated your depth of knowledge of music, and s--- was well researched too. Good work mutherfucker.

    no, as i said earlier in this thread, it's a choice of preference, but all 3 of those albums are in the same stratosphere to anyone with less than pretentious ears
