I was really hyped for this season before it came out, because the last season with PC principal etc. was so good. this season just seems lame/try hard. Like "lets re-write episodes so it reflects the US election" boring imo. member berries are lame too, would have made more sense maybe a year ago when all the sequel s--- started. hard to explain, like, I "get it" but i just think it's boring as s---. I liked their old format where it was more of a satirical social commentary on random things each ep, as opposed to dedicating an entire season to a social commentary on the federal election.

Yeah you guys basically summed up how I feel. I'm glad they tried this season long storyline idea, it was worth a shot but if you don't care for the story they go with then you lose interest in the entire season basically.

I'd be curious to know what ratings are like these last couple years, I'm sure they're not exactly struggling but wondering if the ratings took a dip at all or not.

I don't know what they were thinking with them. it almost seems like an old scrapped idea they threw in last minute. Like they repeat "member *insert star wars reference here*" and i get its a joke about all the "muh nostalgia" sorta people. But i'm just like "what?" because star wars came out a year ago, the new ones not coming out for nearly a year... why are they trying to have the show stay up-to-date with current real world events, but throw a joke in that's centered around a movie that came out a year ago?

@Coco I'm not a Star Wars fan but I thought there's supposed to be a new one in December?

Unless they were promoting already for next December which I guess wouldn't shock me.

pretty sure it's december 2017 for star wars 8 (2 years after the last). i forgot about the film coming out soon it's like some star wars spin-off

Oh s--- oh s--- oh s--- oh s---. Infinitely more hyped for the finale now after this week's episode. I've enjoyed the whole season but it wasn't "okay I gotta make time to watch South Park tonight" for me, I'd catch it on Hulu if I had something more intriguing to do, but holy s--- I'm definitely watching next week's episode!

I thought them trolling President Garrison into bombing Denmark was so random it was hilarious. Also Gerald talking s--- about Kyle and being so willing to let his son take the blame for all the chaos that has followed his actions lol.

Well... Finale was worth it. Sort of disappointing that Heidi was just that generic chick and no revelations happen but it did sort of had a message in the end.

Season 20's first half is like exploring how much the world is connected to social media and the internet and how serious we take everything.
Season 20's second half is like about equality with gender and the overwhelming fear of internet history being revealed.

The ending's sort of like "let's go back to the status quo" thing with nobody getting punished or getting their comeupance (maybe that's the point, life is like an endless cycle) but still worth it.

Disappointed the member berries didn't get resolved nor did anything happen with Cartman and Heidi so it was disapointing. If I'd rate this season it'd be under 19 because it wasn't a reflection of society as a whole. More like just some specific thing that just happened to mesh together with a story and a political election. Season 19 was revitalizing for the show so nothing can really beat it except for the earlier seasons. Hoping Season 21 at least provides a better story with Season 19 style society reflections.

The ending scenes suggest that they're going to continue the serialized format. Unless they break up Cartman and Heidi in the first episode of Season 21; we'll see.

Ugh what a waste, few things in the finale were alright but some of the stories we followed throughout the season ended up being pointless. I saw someone say this on Facebook but why the f--- was Heidi more of a main character than Randy?

If they have this same format next season I'll watch the first episode or 2 to see what I think of the story, if I'm not that into it like I wasn't at all in season 19 and sort of wasn't this season then I just won't watch. South Park isn't worth watching for these season long storylines, the last 2 seasons have proved that to me.

*edit* oh and Cartman's one of the lamest characters now, bring back old Cartman.
