    Season 19 was admittingly on point and relevant. Every place is becoming gentrified and prices are going up worldwide. Cost of living in California is like, WTF???

    I can't even live in a metropolitan area anymore so IDK WTF I'm going to do.

    Agree. Also mean shows like melissa and joey, how i met your mother, 2 guys and a girl etc that all start off with an unique idea/element which all goes away once a show gets popular. I'm so glad we had shows like frasier/seinfeld/married w children that stuck to the original idea and stayed funny.

    I liked both season 18 and 19 then. And 20.. but, as a whole. There aren't as much standout episodes like in the old days which were absolutely hilarous and rude.

    The show has changed dramatically overtime

    Season 1-4 was like this surreal, crude show that focused on the adventures of the 4 boys and the small mountain town.

    Season 5-8 was the golden era. All the classic South Park episodes with a mix of the surreal humor of the early seasons and the later political commentary.

    Season 9-13 was more politically charged, and spent the majority of its time making fun of world events and celebrities/politics

    Season 14-17 was the same, but recycled jokes and overall, kinda a stale feeling.

    Season 18-20 became less of a comedy, and more of a soap opera, with its serial seasons.

    Who knows what will come next? South Park has never stayed the same and never will.

    Well... I watched the trailer and this seems like their attempts to forget their experimentations in Season 17, 18, 19 and 20. They made it look like it was returning to form but this just seems like a usual South Park episode in which they tackle a controversial event then put their own irrelevant spin on it.

    This episode seems to be about those people who took their jobs going full confederate and then staging a riot against Randy renovating houses under the pretense of a clever racial pretense. It sounds like the plot of a mid 2000s South Park episode but judging from what I've seen, I don't think it's going to be really scathing due to a lack of stupidity and satirical elements to reference that stupidity in addition to Charlottesville being really f----- up.

    I f----- up by saying that South Park was back because in reality, there isn't much it can do anymore. The serialization was a nice attempt during Season 20 but it's preplanned nature caused it to go to s--- after Episode 7 and it's upcoming season isn't an attempt to replicate the early seasons, it's more of the same except without an overarching focus on the serialized episodes or multiple-parters.

    However it's going to be only one day before this episode so we'll see...
