Oct 2, 2017 Did you even see season 20? Stop exaggerating. If anything, it's season 19 > 18> 21>>>>20. 20 was a g.d. disaster with it's unfunny storyline about Trolls and the election.
Oct 2, 2017 Of course I did! Did you see these first 3 episodes of season 21? Even 20 had its moments.
Oct 2, 2017 Prime SP is the model for ALL adult cartoons rn and upcoming.. but when you write a show every week for almost 20 year.. it loses flavor and that power. Last episode/season i truly watched was when stan grew up and startes seeing his friends with a----s on their face. R&M is great. New watcher, have watched every ep about 2 times. Heard the community is trash but haven't gone on forums to talk about it apart from lil meeseeks. The flu season dance episode introduced all the cancerous weirdos on yt comments over exaggerating every detail.
Oct 2, 2017 sooo true. not trying to sound #edgy, but r&m is ~mainstream now. regular folk talking about pickle rick. season 3, the arc with jerry is weak. and R&M the characters sound diff imo. the dynamic has changed and rick's nihilism ("is he a sociopath?!") can't be sustained. should've left him in prison, honestly. that was a good, fitting note. no wonder they took off like two years, boxed themselves in. SP is kind of like a Snoop dogg album in 2017 (shout out @WPG). it's not great, but -- assuming it isnt flat out embarrassing -- i enjoy catching it. it's absolutely not what it once was....... but - hey - at least it's not the simpsons rofl. bojack *might* be the strongest out of the pack, which is surprising to me.
Oct 2, 2017 To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
Oct 2, 2017 I felt like the season finale last night was just a shot at the fanbase for always saying "look how smart we are because we watch this show." With that being said, the season finale was terrible and I'm iffy even about season 4.
Oct 2, 2017 Agreed, I was nervous but his character and the season managed to avoid some of the trappings I see Rick and Morty slipping into
