Jun 16, 2019 Tbr, never fully went in to FR, that year was stacked as f---, I could've made like a top 20 and it still won't be enough.
Jun 16, 2019 This a trip down memory lane, I vividly remember listening to each of these projects, each of them came at their own pace and the anticipation for them was so much fun to follow. 2010 was nuts when we finally got Big Boi's solo after YEARS of it in label purgatory, not to mention all the new gen mixtapes and the GOOD Fridays leading to Ye's masterpiece 2011 with WTT defined that year for me, I have to reiterate this: f---ing Jay-Z & Kanye made a collaboration album, let that sink in. I would have mentioned Shabazz Palaces for blowing my mind that year as well. Summer of 2012 was crazy, there was a stretch where we had Channel Orange & Life Is Good in a week's span, mix that with DC2 and it was a wrap. GKMC was such an event, Kenny jumped straight to the pantheon overnight.
Jun 16, 2019 "G.B.E. the squad! it's just us. We don't need nobody!" The Original 2014/2015 version of "T.H.O.T. Breaker" is still the most conceptually and cohesively perfected litany of patterned-out and pre-listed tracks released in the first half of the 2010 decade. "She got her mind made up."
Jun 18, 2019 I reckon Pusha's two Fear of God projects is an obscure omission as well as Shabazz Palace's Black Up for 2011. And while it's not quite Below the Heavens level, Give Me Flowers is a worthy successor for Blu and Exile and should be an honourable mention at least for 2012 Don't forget Pluto by Fewtch either for '12!
Jun 19, 2019 "Girl I know you wonderin'-wonderin', when I'm comin' home. I been gettin' munneh-munneh, chillin' on my own. I'll be countin' hunnids-hunnids. Girl, please leave me 'lone. Smoke a Tookah Blunt, and at the top where I belong."
Jul 6, 2019 underrated GOAT poster @Sea Mauville joins the ranks to pick up my slack since I've been snowed under at work. could not think of a better contributor! and a top notch list for 2013
Jul 6, 2019 i'mma have to check out that Rejjie Snow, never listened before but have heard good things. and serious props for the Migos and Retch picks
Jul 6, 2019 Man I still don't know where u guys find the time to listen to so much new music let alone make lists like this. You really must not have time to revisit older albums w the amount of new stuff dropping every day... I couldn't do that tbh. Props boys and keep it up! Sea mauville definitely a great addition to this thread! Edit: after all these years I still can't put yeezus even near MBDTF
Jul 6, 2019 I like it. Its good. But people claiming its his best album or one of the best rap albums OAT is hilarious to me
Jul 6, 2019 Awesome choices Sea, those first 3 years of music just pull at my heartstrings man, 2013 arguably my favorite one too. Some of my mentions go out to Danny Brown's outstanding Old, Mac's Watching Movies, Gates' mixtapes & Bronson's Blue Chips 2--all in heavy rotation along with the choices on the list. Yeezus still one of the highlights of this decade, few albums fascinate me like that one to this day.
Jul 14, 2019 My dumbass really f----- up and deleted the article that I was supposed to send out. Thankfully published it shortly before it got deleted, so a little hope still going for me. Im not writing all that s--- again. Gonna contact support soon.
