After 2 hours the beta got boring as h---
Nothing impressed me except for the graphics and the sound .



This is alpha footage of the original BF3 developed from 06-08 by Free Radical design and Pandemic Studios (they made Battlefront 1 and 2)


Its so sad to see that an alpha test has more content in it, than the full game that came to replace it.


Iam just disappointed i was waitin 10 f---in years for another BF and this piece of s--- is the result ?

Been hearing a lot of people who agree with @Jerome . Apparently this game lacks a lot of content. By the sounds of it, it may as well be battefront with a huge graphics/gamepaly update and half the content cut.
So stupid.

When you make a sequel, people expect everything the last game had +more. Because essentially that's what it should be, striving to be better than the last. This doesn't look like it comes close.

Easily the biggest disappointment of 2015.
i give this game 3-4 more months then its dead.

they will more than likely release DLC's because they are greedy as f---. I hate how this game only has a few modes and lacks so much. Im even pissed that they didnt put the prequeals on there. genosis and Kashykk use to be a favorite of mine on battlefront 2

I played the beta for 30mins and immediately canceled the pre order.

the gameplay is fun and the graphics are great, but there is no depth at all, it's kinda sad when 10 year old games have more to do than this big budget game today. No way is it worth $60 and no way I'm letting this take away from any fallout 4 time.

Still cannot understand why they didn't just copy+paste Battlefield 4 elements over the top of Battlefront 1+2. I swear some gaming companies are f---ing r-----ed. To me, if you want a player base to stick around for longer than a month - instead of s-----y DLC, you create a wealth of unlockable content, giving players more reason to continue playing. Like this should be common f---ing sense, but EA managed to f--- it up didn't they.

I'm not some marketing/business/economic wizard, but it seems really f---ing obvious that if you make an online FPS (not to mention Battlefront's entire schtick is that it's a multiplayer/online FPS), you're immediately competing against the COD franchise. What does COD have that keeps their player base playing the same game for years on end? A progression system with thousands of things to unlock as you play.

s---, not good reading all this. I preordered the game back in June because the trailer looked really good. My copy came yesterday I installed it but haven't played yet. Hopefully I enjoy it. Don't really want to end up losing 30 bucks selling it in the first week .

I heard a lot of negative backlash and thought of not opening it up last night but ended up doing so. There was a lot of negative talk about Battlefield Hardline and I really enjoyed that beta. I never played this beta though so I don't know how it's going to be.

It's been completely opposite for me. I'm loving this game, although I am very disappointed without a hardcore mode. I loved the Beta. As far as Battlefield Hardline, I hated the beta, but I got the game and loved it.

You already know what's next...

DLC packs for each star wars movie. DLC packs will include new heroes, villains, maps, and weapons...

Force Awakens DLC + Episode 1 DLC + Episode 2 DLC + Episode 3 DLC = $$$$$$$

This was going to be a must-buy from the moment it was announced, due to the fact that I am a huge Star Wars fan and loved the original Battlefront games....


But then I see this reception. Can someone give me a rundown and recommendation?

I'm selling it. I played it for a bit. The graphics and sound are outstanding. However, there's just something about the gameplay that lacks for me. It didn't catch me or make me want to continue playing. I never played the beta so maybe I should have. Luckily I'm selling it and have someone interested in picking it up for the amount I paid so that's good (got it as a deal new so I'm not losing any money).

Battlefield and CoD just got something to them that makes you want to keep playing. I'm not sure what it is that Battlefront misses. But playing it was just very bland and got boring.

Anyone who is enjoying the game though that's awesome. Good to hear, sadly not for me :S

This is not as bad as that dude angrily ranting about it is making it out to be. I got this game entirely because of how much time a younger me spent playing Battlefront 2. If you're like a die hard f---ing ride or die, dress up for comic con, sleep in your boba fet pj's type of star wars fan, then you may be a little disappointed with this. There is just not a lot of content. No campaign mode? That baffles me for a game in 2015. I haven't played it that much, but I only play the modes where you can be heroes or villains. Having only 6 of them is real stupid too. You're gonna tell me Princess Leia is gonna take it to Darth Vader? Nah bro. It's very unbalanced. If you're Vader or Luke then you're pretty much gonna get 30 kills each game. It also gets a little boring. I can't really play for more than 45 minutes before i've fallen asleep. I'd give this a 6.5/10.
