Dec 21, 2016 Thoughts on Tarkin and Leia's CGI? I noticed Tarkin's and in his scenes it held my attention, which may not necessarily be a good thing, but I still think it was great. But Leia, err. Not bad, but it was too obvious. I don't think they needed to include her, or they could've done it differently.
Dec 21, 2016 James Earl Jones is in his mid 80s now. When 85 years old you reach, sound as good, you will not.
Dec 21, 2016 I think we've come a long way if our Star Wars CGI complaints are limited to just Tarkin and Leia.
Dec 21, 2016 didn't even know it was the same voice as the oldies that makes up for it i guess since it's kinda cool
Dec 21, 2016 Tarkin annoyed the f--- out of me it was so obvious and just didnt feel right, i didnt even realise leia tbh, i thought it was just a look a like....
Dec 23, 2016 I hated Episode 7, it was a total disappointment to me as a lifelong Star Wars stan. I had no interest in seeing this but got dragged along. Goly was this a good movie. I enjoyed it so much tbh, yeah we all knew what was gonna happen but it didn't make it any easier. I was honestly pretty sad about those who died, especially at the very end. That sadness quickly went away tho with that Vader scene. Movie turned into a horror film for like 5 minutes it was soooooo f---ing cool dude.
Dec 23, 2016 I really hope Episode 8 takes some chances. I really liked Force Awakens but I admit the plot was fairly boring, although there were some really awesome concepts about it (stormtrooper turning good, blaster stopping, mind reading, light saber memories, etc). I also enjoy Kylo Ren, even though he gets a lot of flack. I think the concept of him being seduced by the light is really good. I really would like a different take though. Maybe something, like Rogue One, where it centers around war strategies more. Giving mission objectives and accomplishments. One part I LOVED about Rogue One was the shield around the planet, and the rebels objective of destroying it, and sending x wings through the portal. I loved that. I hope there's more objectives like that in Episode 8/9. Maybe have Luke/Rey trying to restart the Jedi by recruiting or something. I really don't wanna see a movie where Luke is training Rey, like Yoda trained Luke. And have the Knights of Ren doing the same thing, exploring worlds, but the Knights of Ren are slaughtering force users, or whatever. And I'd love for Rey to be a random. Have her parents be former imperial officers, who Luke killed. It'd make the struggle of her trusting Luke even more difficult. I'd love a map of the galaxy too, and have the First Order and Resistance almost on equal playing fields, instead of the First Order being the dominant one. I really wish they made the First Order more like ISIS, where it was kind of a terrorist group.
Dec 23, 2016 Yo fam, Carrier Fisher is in the hospital on a ventilator right now, she had a massive heart attack on a plane...
Dec 24, 2016 Prayers to Carrie Fisher. I hope she gets better. I don't trust these Hollywood CACs, they will do a CGI makeover if she passes.
Dec 25, 2016 They seem to be depicting the first order more as nazis lol which is what george lucas had in mind anyways with the original trilogy
Dec 25, 2016 Just came back from watching it. Kinda weird to get to know all the characters and at the same time know they all are going to die by the end anyway lol. Kinda surprised how many of the shots in the trailer didn't end up in the movie tho.
Dec 26, 2016 yea I read that the Director (Gareth Edwards) assumed that Disney wouldn't allow them to k--- everyone so there is probably an alternative ending where some of the main characters survive. That would explain the reshoots that we heard about and how we didn't get some of the shots of them running towards the AT AT and I noticed there were even some vader shots from the trailer missing in the film They should have had donnie yen weilding a lightsaber and had him fight vader
Dec 26, 2016 It would be weird if they survived, since they (obviously) aren't in the originals - so they had to, it was just strange watching a movie when u know the exact out come.
Dec 26, 2016 Yeah I mean not necessarily - star wars is a big universe, they could just be offscreen on some other planet that isn't shown in the originals. It makes sense that they would all die and that's the appropriate ending imo but the writers probably could have gotten away with keeping one or two of them alive and just having them do something else with the Rebellion during the time of the originals.
