i'm honestly less let down as time goes on and i've had time to let it sink in
no matter what people always say about the prequels (and i don't generally agree on), they can generally at least give it this. this is the most off putting thing about TFA, but like i said, it's not as much of a problem as i thought it would be after seeing it

Idk about that theory, that's too much of guessing...

I bet Rey is Luke's daughter.

Some people think that Luke was looking at some grave (probably his wife)... so the rest is just history why he disappeared etc. etc.

I was disappointed, cause i expected so much more from this movie.
the Villain - Ren is a joke imo, after he took the mask off i couldnt take him serious anymore. So much potential wasted with such a miscast.
That is copies so much from ANH / Too much fan service

The fight scene with ren and rey- absolutely ridiculous cause Rey isnt trained or anything and is still kicking crybaby Bens little a---.
The death of han solo - again so much wasted potential.
    The disrespect for the prequels.

i could go on for the next 10 minutes if i want.

Episode 3 had its flaws too
    - still s-----y dialogues,
    - using too much cgi - even tho it was much better than in the previous two movies.
    - This cringeworthy NOOOO at the end that ruined an epic scene.

But still Episode 3 is much more entertaining and thrilling.

The Battle at the end alone >>>>>>>>>

    btw

the most underrated/overhated actor in the prequels is prob Hayden Christensen, he absolutely killed his role in EP III as Vader/evil Anakin.
I hope hes back in EP VIII as a force ghost or smth.
He deserve a 2nd chance with better dialogue

I gotta say, as much as I dislike them at times, I always felt these two scenes were good

That second scene is exactly how I feel about B.O.B...

    dont forget these scenes pls
prob one of the most powerful scenes in the whole SW saga

i forgot to add the music in my list, cause in the prequels the music was just light years ahead of the new s--- we got on TFA.

I get that. I'm about to go way out there here but IMO, Ren is a better villain than Vader when comparing TFA with just ANH. Ren has so much more character development then Vader does, and this is his first appearance. I found an analysis video that explains why, from a filmmaking perspective, TFA is a better film. I actually dig ROTS. Not as much as the originals or 7 but I still like it. As for disrespecting the prequels, I really feel all 9 films will be tied together when it is revealed that Rey is the reborn Anakin Skywalker.

as far as all the problems with the different movies go (specifically peoples PT issues), i see that it tends to boil down to what's believable/realistic to you on a personal level (and also a s--- load of nostalgia and media/internet influence on people), because if i'm looking at them and being honest, most of the flaws seem either nitpicky and spiteful, or can be found in the opposite trilogy or another flaw takes there place in the opposite trilogy. TFA is no different and most likely the next two movies won't be either imo

Both are very good scenes I agree. The silence in the first one and the music is haunting. Always loved that scene.

i still want to hold out hope we'll get a KOTOR set of movies

this s--- is more enjoyable to me than the movies, and the stories in the first two games are big enough to be their own trilogies

the lore and visuals and characters and everything about the KOTOR era is f---ing amazing imo

Love this scene as well. Visually and Musically, the prequels are great. Especially Episode 3. I feel they would have benefitted if Lucas had a second screen writer to focus things up, specifically the dialogue. That was really really bad. And I mean really bad. Not all of it. But a good amount of it. If Lawrence Kasdan had been there for the prequels, I don't think any of those problem would have been there. Not even Lucas can do everything himself. I think it comes down to him trying to do to much himself. But that's just how I feel about it. Anakin marching into the Jedi temple is great cinema.

oh i definitely want KOTOR 1 done, 2 as well, tho i think they could do something great with some of TOR after if timelines were changed around a bit and revan was given more of a focus

Rumors a year or so back stated that a trilogy was in development. Lucasfilm knows theres money there so don't be surprised if we do get a KOTOR film trilogy.

i think most peoples hopes of that were sort of crushed with them tossing out the EU (including all of KOTOR1/2/TOR), and them moving forward with OT era spin offs only so far

but i still hope it comes to pass one day

What Bioware did to revan in TOR is just pain in the a--- tbh.
Wished he never came back or later in a KOTOR 3 (my dream is still alive :lol6:)
